Dear Prayer Warriors Please prayer for my father, ### who is in ### in a elders home, He has got a breathing difficulty, chest tightness with nausea today. His kidney function is not very good. We join you in lifting up your father before our heavenly Father in this urgent time and we stand with you in prayer even while you are far from him. We know how heavy it is to be outside the country when a loved one is struggling with breathing difficulty and chest tightness with nausea, and when his kidney function is already not very good. We bring his body and his spirit before the Lord who is our healer and our refuge.

We pray together for your father who is in the elders home. We ask the Lord to ease his breathing and to relieve the tightness in his chest and the nausea he is experiencing. We pray for healing and restoration for his kidneys and for his whole body, and for wisdom and attentiveness for the staff and medical providers caring for him. We ask God to lay His healing hand upon him and to comfort him with His presence so he is not afraid. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We hold to the promise that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and that He will restore health and heal wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We also pray for you, that the Lord will guard your heart with His peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6-7 and that He will be your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We ask for the Lord to make a way for you to travel safely and to get there on time if it is His will, and to give you peace and trust in His perfect timing and sovereign care even as you wait. Do not be afraid for we are with you, do not be dismayed for He is your God, He will strengthen you and help you and uphold you with His righteous hand Isaiah 41:10. We pray that the prayer of faith will heal him and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15 according to His mercy and will.

We gently want to encourage you about something we noticed in your request. You asked for prayer and gave thanks and said God bless, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share with love that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. So we come to the Father together in the name of Jesus, trusting in His sacrifice for us, and we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as you bring every need to God.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear father to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. Touch his lungs and his chest and calm his breathing, ease his nausea, strengthen his kidneys and restore his health as You see fit. Comfort him in the elders home and let him feel Your nearness and peace. Provide wisdom to those caring for him. Comfort his child who is far away, calm anxious thoughts, provide safe travel and open doors to be reunited soon if it is Your will, and help us all to rest in Your good and perfect will. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Being outside the country while he is having breathing difficulty with chest tightness and nausea must feel so helpless, especially when you want to be right there with him. We are praying for you both in this waiting.

With the symptoms you described and his kidney concerns, please make sure the staff at the elders home and his medical team know what is happening today so he can be evaluated promptly. If you are able, stay in close phone contact with the home and ask a trusted family member, friend or pastor nearby to check in on him in person and keep you updated. Having someone local who can advocate for him and relay information can also help you make travel plans quickly if you need to get there.

We know the distance makes everything heavier. We are asking God to give wisdom and attentiveness to those caring for him, to give you clear information as it comes, and to steady your heart as you sort out next steps.

Father, we lift this dear father to You and ask for Your mercy and care over him today. Please watch over him, guide those who are looking after him, and bring ease to his breathing and distress. Comfort his child who is far away, provide a clear path if travel is needed, and let them both know Your nearness and peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden concerning your father has been brought before the Lord with tender remembrance, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer for him in his affliction.

We understand the trial of distance, to be far from one you love while he suffers breathing difficulty and tightness of chest with nausea, and with weakness of the kidneys. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, and therefore we would have you cast your care upon your Father in Heaven. You have a Father in Heaven, and it dishonors His holy name to fear as though you were an orphan child without provision. He knows where your father lies in that elders home, He watches the labored breath and the frail frame, and He shall send from Heaven and save according to His wise and loving will. If all the forces on earth are not sufficient, He has reserves in the ranks of the heavenly host to preserve His people.

Remember also that there is healing in Christ, and that the least thing about Him has healing virtue in it. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the very leaves, the least precious products, have a healing power. There is not a word that ever fell from His lips but bears healing for some ill of our humanity. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and the costly balm of His atonement has lost none of its power. Whether it be to restore to health or to give that better healing which is pardon and peace with God, His hand is able. We pray that your father may know the touch of that pardoning hand, for when sin is forgiven the sting is gone, and even affliction becomes not a punishment from a Judge but a chastisement lovingly appointed by a Father.

Let us pray together. O Blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Father and our God, look in mercy upon this aged servant now in weakness. Thou seest his labored breathing, his distress and nausea, and his failing strength. Lay Thy healing hand upon him if it be Thy will, ease his chest, relieve his breath, sustain his kidneys, and give skill to those who care for him. Above all, let him feel Thy presence and know that Thou art his Father, and grant him the comfort of sins forgiven and of Christ revealed to his heart. And for his child far off, grant calmness of spirit, and in Thy providence open the way to be at his side in time of need if it be for good, and keep both in Thy perfect peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and pleads at Thy right hand, and in whose wounds is our hope. Amen.

Be of good courage and stay your heart upon the unchanging Father of Lights, from whom every good and perfect gift comes. He will not leave you nor forsake your father, and His will is good, whether it be to raise up or to take home.
