Disciple of Prayer
Urgent prayer request: ### is headed into surgery to remove some big blood clots on her lungs and surgery could kill her. ### is a very faithful Christian. Please pray that the Lord will calm, her family, and that the Lord will guide the surgeon’s hands for a successful surgery today and that ### will be OK.

We lift up ### in this critical hour, standing together in faith as we intercede for her life and healing. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet trusting in Your sovereign power and unfailing love. You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and holds our very breath in Your hands (Daniel 5:23). We ask that You would calm the fears of ### and her family, filling them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for the hands of the surgeons and medical team attending to her. Guide them with Your wisdom and precision, as You promised in Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Let every decision, every incision, and every moment in that operating room be ordered by You for her good. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that Your healing power will flow through her body, dissolving every clot and restoring her strength.

Father, we also rebuke the spirit of fear that may try to grip her or her loved ones. Remind them that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel the comfort of Your arms holding them tightly. We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17: "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.

We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your mercy, Your grace, and Your perfect will for ###’s life. If it be Your will, restore her completely, Lord, and use this trial to draw her and her family even closer to You. May Your glory be revealed through this situation, and may many come to know You because of Your faithfulness.

We also ask that You would prepare ###’s heart for whatever outcome You have ordained. If this is her time to be with You, Lord, welcome her into Your presence with open arms and comfort those she leaves behind. But if she is to remain here, let her recovery be swift and complete, a testimony to Your power and love.

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We are holding ### and all of you close in prayer right now. The weight of watching someone you love go into such serious surgery is immense, and we want you to know you’re not alone in carrying it.

It’s natural for fear to hover when the risks are this real. But we’re asking the Lord to quiet those fears with His own nearness, for ###, and for each of you waiting. He is with her in that operating room, and His care doesn’t depend on our ability to hold it all together.

Lord Jesus, we lift ### to You. She is Yours, and right now she faces a dangerous procedure. Please guide the surgeon’s hands with steady, precise skill. Give the whole medical team clear thinking and calm nerves. Settle ###’s heart and mind as she surrenders to their care, and wrap her family in a peace that goes deeper than understanding. Protect her body through every moment. We ask for a successful surgery and full recovery, trusting You with the outcome because You are good. Be their refuge and strength. In Your name, Amen.

The prayer request has deeply moved our hearts, and we are all bowed before the throne of grace on behalf of our beloved sister. In this hour of trial, let us remember that the very blood which spares our blood and the death which made us live still speaks peace to every trembling soul. That precious blood whispers peace within when sorrows surge round, and on Jesus’ bosom nothing but calm is found. Lay hold of this peace for her and for her family, for the mind stayed on Him is kept in perfect peace, peace, peace, as the Hebrew repeats it, a double portion in the midst of the storm.

We plead the healing leaves of the Tree of Life, which are not only for the world to come but for this present distress. There is an abundance of healing power in Christ, and a single word of His, applied by the Spirit, can bring life where death threatens. The same Lord who forgave the palsied man first breathed inward peace over his soul, then commanded him to rise. So we ask that the Great Physician would not only guide the surgeon’s hands with more than earthly skill, but would Himself touch her with that power which takes our infirmities and bears our sicknesses. We entreat Him to breathe a calm upon the family, that they might feel themselves kept safe in Jesus’ keeping, for in His keeping we are safe, and they.

While we hope and expect a good outcome, that these clots shall be removed and her life spared for further fruitfulness, we rest the whole weight upon the blood of the everlasting covenant. That blood has a voice that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. It does not cry for judgment, but pleads for mercy and speaks peace. Let faith fix its gaze there, not upon the surgeon’s skill nor even upon her own faithfulness, but upon the spotless Lamb whose blood cleanses from all sin and robs the grave of its victory. We join our prayers with yours, asking that she will be raised up again to walk in the land of the living, showing forth the praise of Him who heals all her diseases. But should the Lord’s will be otherwise, we know that nothing but calm is found upon Jesus’ bosom, and the healing leaves keep the soul in perpetual health until the glory-life begins. Until then, we watch unto prayer, trusting the God who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases to do that which is most for His glory and her eternal good.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The knife of the surgeon is a fearsome thing, yet it is often the very instrument by which health is regained. Do not dread the cutting as though it were an enemy, for in the hands of a skilled healer it does the work of peace, removing the diseased part that the whole body may be spared. This is the peace that surpasses mere outward calm: when the mutinous element is cut away, the war within the flesh is ended, and life can flourish again. So too with the soul. In every trial, whether of the body or of the spirit, there is a surgery of God that seeks to heal and to save. Let us therefore approach this crisis not with a tumult of fears, but with the stillness and awe that befit a place where the Spirit is at work. Prepare your hearts for the good tidings of peace, and make your life and conduct pure, so that the shield of faith may remain uninjured, guarding you against the assaults of despair. For if the faith be right and the life be right, the armor of the soul is preserved, whatever the outward storm may bring.

We will pray earnestly for her and with her. Pray that the Lord will calm both her and her family, and that He will guide the surgeon’s hands. Remember that those who practice the art of healing, like those who wield authority in the city, contribute to our quiet and peaceable life; it is right to entreat God on their behalf, that the operation may be a work of His wisdom and mercy. But above all, lift your minds to the promise of eternal life. For the Lord Himself has given us His flesh to eat and His blood to drink, so that even if this earthly frame should fail, the one who feeds on Him by faith has life in herself. Let us then banishing every earthy thought from our souls, and be entirely given up to the hearing of the divine oracles, trusting that He who foresaw this hour and suffered voluntarily for our redemption will both sustain her spirit and accomplish what is needful for her true good. May she be restored to health, and may this trial become for her a preparation of the Gospel, a setting straight of her paths, so that she may walk thereafter in a deeper peace.

In this urgent hour, we set our hope not on the skill of the surgeon alone, but on the One who holds every life in His hands. The very blood that now threatens your loved one speaks a deeper truth: the life of the flesh is in the blood, yet eternal life is found only in the Son. And this faithful servant already possesses that life, hidden with Christ, where no clot or scalpel can reach.

The blood of Jesus, the spotless Lamb, has already been shed for her. It is the blood of the covenant that cleanses from all sin and marks the door of her heart. When God sees that blood, He passes over. Death has no ultimate claim on someone who has drunk deeply of His cup and tasted His forgiveness. So we can face this surgery without terror, knowing that whether she wakes in the recovery room or in glory, she is safe. He entered the holy place once for all with His own blood, obtaining eternal redemption for her. That transaction is finished.

Pray now for the family. Let them fix their minds on the quality of life He gives: righteousness, peace, and joy that do not waver with circumstance. The kingdom life is not meat and drink, but a steady calm that holds even when the monitors beep. Ask the Lord to make that peace palpable in the waiting room, a supernatural quiet that guards their hearts.

We also pray that God guides the surgeon’s hands, using the very instruments that carry risk to bring healing. The One who created the intricate flow of blood through the lungs can dissolve the danger and restore health. He often uses human hands to accomplish His purposes, so we trust Him for wisdom and precision.

Your loved one’s life on earth is precious, and we ask boldly for many more years of walking in His path. Yet even now, that life is consecrated: her ears to hear His voice, her hands to do His work, a life already owed to Him. Whatever comes, she lives by the faith of the Son of God, who loved her and gave Himself for her. Cling to that truth. In Jesus, our flesh is food indeed and our blood is drink indeed; we abide in Him, and He abides in us. That is the ground beneath your feet today.
