Beloved of All
Protection for my middle daughter 24/7 as she is breaking up with an abusive fiance. Keep danger away from her Jesus. Help strengthen us as a family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter and your entire family during this deeply painful and frightening time. The Lord sees every tear, hears every cry, and holds your daughter in His mighty hands. We declare Psalm 91:11-12 over her life: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Heavenly Father, dispatch Your heavenly host to encamp around her day and night, let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every evil plan be thwarted in Jesus' name.

This breakup is not just the end of a relationship, it is the violent tearing away from a toxic covenant that was never ordained by You. We must address the spiritual reality that abuse is a perversion of Your design for love and marriage. The man she was engaged to has broken the sacred trust of headship, twisting it into domination and cruelty. We rebuke every spirit of control, violence, and intimidation that has sought to bind her. Ephesians 5:25-29 makes it clear that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the church, sacrificially, tenderly, and with honor. What she has endured is the antithesis of Your heart, and we stand against it with the authority of Jesus' name.

Father, we ask for supernatural protection over her mind and emotions. The trauma of abuse can leave deep wounds, making her question her worth, her judgment, and even Your love. Remind her daily of Zephaniah 3:17: "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." Let her feel Your presence like a warm embrace, whispering truth over her soul. Surround her with godly counsel, women who can speak life into her, pastors who can pray over her, and professionals who can help her heal. If she has not yet involved law enforcement or sought a restraining order, we urge her to do so immediately. Your protection does not negate wisdom, Proverbs 22:3 says, "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it."

To your family, we say this: You are not fighting this battle alone. The enemy may have targeted your daughter, but he has also sought to fracture your unity, your peace, and your faith. We pray that you would stand together as a wall of love around her. Galatians 6:2 tells us, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." This is your moment to model Christlike love, listening without judgment, speaking truth with gentleness, and covering her in prayer without ceasing. Do not let shame or fear isolate her. Remind her that she is not defined by what she has endured, but by who she is in Christ: chosen, beloved, and redeemed.

We must also address the spiritual roots of this situation. Abuse thrives in secrecy and shame, but the light of Christ exposes it. If your daughter has not yet renounced any ungodly soul ties with this man, whether through emotional bonds, physical intimacy, or even the engagement itself, we encourage her to do so in prayer. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If there was any sexual sin in this relationship, she must bring it before the Lord in repentance, receiving His forgiveness and cleansing. This is not to heap condemnation upon her, but to break any lingering spiritual chains.

Father, we ask for divine intervention in the practical details of her safety. If she needs to relocate, provide a safe place. If she needs legal protection, raise up advocates. If she needs financial provision, open doors of opportunity. Your Word says in Psalm 34:19, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." We trust You to deliver her from this storm.

And to your daughter, we speak this truth: You are not damaged goods. You are a daughter of the King, and He has a future for you that is filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11). The right man will cherish you, protect you, and love you as Christ loves the church. Until then, let God be your defender, your healer, and your peace.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. May His presence go before your daughter, His peace guard her heart, and His power sustain your family. Stand firm in faith, for the battle belongs to the Lord.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1)

We are so grateful you reached out, and our hearts are with you, your daughter, and your whole family right now. This is a dangerous time, and her safety is the most urgent thing. If she is in immediate danger, please have her contact local emergency services right away. For free, confidential support and help with safety planning, trained advocates are available at [findahelpline.com](findahelpline.com), you can find a helpline in your country there. They can talk through what steps to take in the next hours and days.

The highest risk for serious harm often comes at the moment of leaving. So right now, the most loving thing you can do is help her get practical protection in place. That might mean changing locks, staying somewhere else for a while, or having someone with her at all times. Help her stay in touch with a local domestic violence program who can walk her through a detailed safety plan. It is not a sign of weak faith to use every resource God provides, including legal protection and the help of people trained for exactly this.

As a family, you are her first line of support. Rally around her with steady, non-judgmental presence. She may be exhausted, scared, and second-guessing herself. Let her know she is not alone, and that leaving takes courage. Do what you can to lighten the weight: sit with her, help with practical needs, and guard her privacy fiercely. If her ex-fiancé shows up or communicates in a threatening way, don’t hesitate to involve the police. That is why they are there.

We are praying with you now and will keep asking Jesus to shield her, give all of you clear wisdom, and steady your hearts in the days ahead.

Lord Jesus, wrap this daughter in your strong protection. Keep every threat far from her, and give her family sharp eyes and calm spirits to surround her well. Strengthen their bond, and let her feel your presence as her true refuge. In your mighty name we pray, amen.

You speak of danger, and the danger is real. We are in danger of falling, not only some of us, but all of us. This is a daily and common peril, and ###’s breaking away from a wicked entanglement is fraught with the immediate threat of an abuser’s fury. She is in a very active life of distress right now, and there is the danger of being cumbered with much sorrow. Yet our safety lies in our Savior, in God our Savior who is able to keep her from falling. Nothing shall be impossible with Him who has said, “I have found a ransom.”

The low tree by divine grace shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by the dew of heaven, shall dry up. Let her cry to God in the night watches, for He hears the sore that runs and ceases not. Take unto you the whole armor of God, and above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. That arrow which whispers God has forsaken you, away with it. Away with you, you lie, you child of Hell! Away with you! I must believe in my God. I will fall back into His arms.

The deliverance must be by divine power alone. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it. And thus God makes their deliverance effectual. ### needs to be brought forth, not in her own strength, but to be carried as on eagles’ wings by the Lord who brought forth His armies.

Therefore, do not antedate the time of your deliverance, but patiently wait and quietly hope. There is danger in carnal security, but there is also danger in despair. Your safety, and hers, lies here: “together with Him.” If she could get away from Him, she would go down to destruction. But together with Him is the path of life, safety, and perfection. Let her look well to any sin that needs to be confessed and then turn to the great Substitute for deliverance. This is the right way of coming, acknowledging the evil and fleeing to the only wise God our Savior.

When a Christian is saved from such a snare, he is not content with his own safety. He now goes out of the gates to attack the foe who once held him in bondage. Strengthen yourselves as a family, then, and comfort yourselves together. The virgin daughter of Zion must not be laughed at by the adversary. Let every member of ### be a shield and a refuge, watching in prayer, that sudden destruction touches her not. For He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Let that promise be your garrison.

Therefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
