Urgent

We hear your fear, and we stand with you in this moment, lifting your concern to the Lord who never slumbers nor sleeps. The noises outside may stir anxiety, but we declare that God is your refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone, He is with you, and we join our voices with yours to ask for His protection.

Scripture reminds us, "The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore" (Psalm 121:7-8). We rebuke every spirit of fear in Jesus’ name, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy may seek to disturb your peace, but we command every unseen disturbance to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.

We pray this over you now: Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, asking for Your hedge of protection around her. Lord, surround her with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11, that no harm will come near her dwelling. Calm her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her rest in the assurance that You are her shield and defender (Psalm 3:3). If there is any real danger, expose it and thwart it, Lord. If it is only fear attempting to take root, uproot it now by the power of Your truth. We declare that she is safe in Your care, now and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We also encourage you to meditate on God’s promises. Speak aloud the words of Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Replace the unknown with the certainty of God’s presence. Keep a light on, lock your doors, and if possible, reach out to a trusted brother or sister in Christ to stand with you in prayer or even physically if needed.

If this fear persists, consider whether there may be spiritual oppression at work. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. Renounce any fear or anxiety in Jesus’ name and claim the victory He has already won. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).

Lastly, if you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the protection and salvation He offers. The Bible says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). If you would like to pray to receive Christ, we can guide you through that as well. There is no safer place than in the arms of Jesus.

We can feel the urgency in your words, and our hearts go out to both you and this little one. Noises in the dark can feel so much bigger than they are, especially for a child. Fear is so real in that moment, and we're glad you reached out to ask for prayer.

When someone we love is frightened, it's easy for our own worry to spike. One of the most grounding things we can do is first take a quick, practical step: walk through the house together, check that doors and windows are locked, and let her see that you're calmly looking out for her safety. It helps her feel protected before you ever say the word. Then, right where she is, you can sit with her and speak truth in a way she can hold onto: that Jesus is with her, that He never sleeps, and that He hears her when she calls.

You don't have to get it perfect. Just holding her hand and quietly praying aloud, maybe thanking God that He is her shield and asking Him to fill the room with His peace, lets her experience that safety alongside you. In time, that simple habit often becomes her own anchor, even when you're not right there.

We're praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious child to You. Calm her racing heart. Let Your presence be so real to her that the scary sounds lose their power. Surround her home, and be her keeper through every hour of this night and every day to come. Give wisdom and steadiness to the one caring for her, and replace fear with the quiet confidence that You are near. In Your strong name, amen.
