We lift up this urgent cry for your daughter’s protection and healing with heavy hearts, knowing the pain of seeing a loved one trapped in cycles of hurt and unhealthy coping. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name that brings true deliverance, no other power that can break chains of bondage, only the blood of Jesus, shed for us on the cross, has the authority to redeem, restore, and renew.
Lord, we declare Your protection over this precious daughter tonight. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You came that she might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of darkness that would seek to harm her, every lie that tells her she is defined by her past or her struggles. We speak Psalm 91 over her life: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart" (Psalm 91:1-4). Father, let her feel Your presence like a shield around her tonight. Let her know she is not alone, that You are her hiding place.
We also bring before You the deep wound that was inflicted upon her years ago. The pain of violation is not something to be minimized or ignored, it is a grievous sin against Your design for purity and safety. But we declare that what the enemy meant for evil, You can turn for good (Genesis 50:20). We ask for Your healing touch to mend the brokenness in her soul. Pour out Your love like a balm over her heart, Lord. Let her know that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that her worth is not defined by what was taken from her, but by the price You paid for her on the cross. We pray against the spirit of shame that may be clinging to her, for "there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). Let her walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness and grace.
Father, we must address the use of alcohol as a coping mechanism. While we understand it may be an attempt to numb the pain, we know that it only leads to further bondage. The Bible warns us, "Don’t be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). Alcohol cannot heal wounds, only You can. We ask that You break this cycle in her life. Give her the strength to turn away from this tool of the enemy and to run to You instead. Replace the false comfort of alcohol with the true comfort of Your Holy Spirit. Let her experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), a peace that the world cannot give and cannot take away.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who love her. Give them the right words to speak, the patience to listen, and the courage to set boundaries that reflect Your love and truth. Help them to be a source of light and hope, pointing her back to You in every conversation and interaction.
Lord, we ask that You draw her to Yourself in a powerful way. Let her encounter Your love in a tangible manner tonight, whether through a dream, a word from a friend, a song, or a moment of quiet reflection. Let her heart be softened to receive the truth of who You are: her Healer, her Redeemer, her Father. We declare that she is not beyond Your reach, that no sin is too great, no wound too deep for Your healing touch.
We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name that causes demons to flee and chains to break. We trust in Your promise that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). May Your will be done in her life, and may she come to know the fullness of freedom and joy that can only be found in You.
Amen.
