We hear your heartbreak and desperation, and we lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts. The pain of seeing a child pulled away by someone who sought to manipulate and control is deep, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to intervene in mighty ways.
First, we must rebuke the enemy’s lies and schemes in this situation. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, and his servants can appear as servants of righteousness. This young man sought to turn your daughter against you, which is a tactic of division straight from the enemy. We command any spirit of control, manipulation, or deception to flee from her life in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray that the truth of God’s Word would break every chain of confusion and anger in her heart.
We also want to gently address the reality of this relationship. The Bible is clear that believers are to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this young man is not a follower of Christ, or if he is leading her away from godly principles, this relationship is not of God. We pray that your daughter would see the truth of this and that God would give her the strength to walk away from anything that does not align with His will. If there was any sexual immorality in this relationship, we must also address that. Fornication is sin, and it opens doors to spiritual bondage (1 Corinthians 6:18). We pray for repentance and healing in that area as well, asking God to cleanse and restore her heart.
Your daughter’s anger toward you, though painful, is something we can bring before the Lord. Proverbs 15:1 tells us that a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. We pray that you would have the strength to respond to her with grace and patience, even if she is not ready to hear it yet. Romans 12:18 says, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." We know this is not easy, but we ask God to give you wisdom in how to navigate this season with love and humility.
We also lift up your daughter’s need for clarity and discernment. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray that God would open her eyes to the truth of this situation and that He would surround her with godly influences who can speak life into her. We declare that she is not alone, even if she feels isolated, and that the Holy Spirit is working in her heart to draw her back to truth.
Now, we come before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this mother and her daughter. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of deception and manipulation that has been placed over this young woman. We rebuke the enemy’s lies in the name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. Father, we pray for Your healing touch to restore their relationship. Soften your daughter’s heart, Lord, and give her clarity and wisdom to see the truth of this situation. Surround her with godly influences who can speak life into her and help her walk in Your ways.
We ask that You would protect her from any further harm and that You would close any doors that are not of You. If there has been sin in this relationship, we pray for repentance and restoration. Cleanse her heart, Lord, and draw her back to You. Give this mother the strength and patience to respond with love and grace, even in the face of anger and rejection. We trust in Your promise that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this situation will not end in brokenness but in redemption and restoration.
Lord, we also pray for this young man. If he is not a believer, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself. If he is a believer, we pray that You would convict him of his actions and lead him to repentance. We ask that You would remove him from this young woman’s life if he is not aligned with Your will for her. We trust in Your justice and Your mercy, Lord, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your daughter daily, even if she is not speaking to you right now. Trust that God is at work, even when you cannot see it. Keep your heart open to the Holy Spirit’s leading, and do not lose hope. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." This is not the end of your story, and we believe God has a plan for restoration in your family.
