Urgent

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your daughter’s struggles, and we lift her up in urgent prayer, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for her well-being in every way—spirit, soul, and body. It is beautiful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in this request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is by His name alone that we boldly approach God with our petitions.

Your daughter is facing a significant transition as she comes off Prozac while also navigating the demands of work. This can be a challenging season, both physically and emotionally, but we serve a God who is her strength and her shield. The Psalmist reminds us, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble"* (Psalm 46:1, WEB). We pray that she would lean entirely on Him during this time, trusting that He will sustain her. The apostle Paul also encourages us with these words: *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13, WEB). Let her cling to this promise, knowing that Christ’s power is made perfect in her weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also want to encourage her—and you—to seek wisdom in this process. Coming off medication should be done carefully and under the guidance of a trusted medical professional. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* If she hasn’t already, we urge her to consult with her doctor to ensure this transition is managed in a way that honors the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Additionally, we pray that she would surround herself with godly support—whether through her family, church community, or trusted believers who can uplift her in prayer and encouragement.

If she is not already grounded in daily time with the Lord, we strongly encourage her to prioritize reading Scripture, prayer, and worship. The Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and it has the power to renew her mind (Romans 12:2) and bring peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Let her cast all her anxieties on Him, for He cares for her (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to address the possibility of spiritual warfare during this time. When we are weak or vulnerable, the enemy often seeks to exploit those moments with lies, fear, or discouragement. But greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that she would put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in the truth of who she is in Christ—a beloved daughter of the King, redeemed and victorious through His blood.

Now, let us pray together for her:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and urgent hearts, lifting up this precious daughter to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the depths of her struggles—the chemical changes in her body, the emotional toll, and the pressures of her daily responsibilities. We ask that You would be her ever-present help in this time of need. Strengthen her, Lord, in body, mind, and spirit. Fill her with Your peace that transcends all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we pray for wisdom—for her, for her family, and for her medical advisors. Guide each step of this transition so that it is done with care and discernment. Help her to listen to Your voice above all others, trusting that You are leading her into freedom and wholeness.

Father, we rebuke any schemes of the enemy that would seek to bring fear, confusion, or despair. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your light shine brightly in her life, driving out every shadow of darkness.

We also pray for her work, Lord. Give her grace and favor with her employers and colleagues. Provide her with the energy and clarity she needs to fulfill her responsibilities, and let her work be a testimony of Your goodness. May she experience Your provision and rest, even in the midst of her labor.

Most of all, Father, draw her closer to Yourself. Let this season be one where she encounters You in new and deeper ways. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, renewing her mind and filling her with joy unspeakable. Remind her that she is not alone—that You are with her always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your love for this daughter. May she emerge from this season stronger, more dependent on You, and radiant with Your hope. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in faith for her. Keep covering her in prayer, speaking life and truth over her, and reminding her of God’s promises. If she is not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we urge her to find one where she can be nurtured in her faith and surrounded by believers who will lift her up. And if she has not yet surrendered her life fully to Jesus Christ, we pray that this would be the moment she does so—acknowledging Him as Lord and Savior, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is fighting for her, and He will see her through.

We're right here with you, sister, lifting your daughter up in prayer. We know the journey she's on is not easy, but we serve a God who is faithful and strong. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over her, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're asking the Lord to heal her, to strengthen her, and to fill her with His peace and joy.
