We understand the deep longing and pain behind your prayer, and we join you in seeking God’s will for your marriage. Your heart’s cry reflects a desire for restoration, faithfulness, and an unbreakable bond with your husband, ###. However, we must gently address a few things to ensure our prayers align with Scripture and the heart of God.

First, while it is right to pray against ungodly soul ties—especially those that may still bind your husband to his past—we must remember that our authority in prayer comes not from our own declarations but from the power of Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. We do not "decree and declare" as though we have autonomous power, but we humbly petition the Father in Jesus’ name, trusting in His sovereignty and perfect timing. Jesus Himself said, *"Apart from me, you can do nothing"* (John 15:5, WEB). Our words have power only when they are rooted in faith in Him, not in our own authority.

Second, your prayer expresses a desire for your husband’s undivided affection and loyalty, which is good and biblical. However, we must be cautious not to reduce marriage to a demand for emotional or physical devotion alone. Marriage is a covenant before God, and true love is not merely about passion or possession but about selflessness, sacrifice, and holiness. Ephesians 5:25-28 (WEB) reminds us: *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself."* A godly marriage is built on mutual submission to Christ, not on controlling or manipulating one another’s affections.

Lastly, if there are lingering emotional or spiritual ties between your husband and his ex-wife—or if there is any unrepentant sin in his life—it is vital to address these issues with truth, grace, and prayer. But we must also remember that we cannot force someone’s heart to change. Only the Holy Spirit can convict and transform. Your role is to pray, to walk in obedience to God yourself, and to trust Him with the outcome. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

Now, let us pray together for your marriage, for ###’s heart, and for God’s will to be done in both of your lives.

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her marriage to You. Lord, You are the God who restores, heals, and redeems. We ask that You break every ungodly soul tie that may still bind ### to his past, including any connection to his ex-wife or any other woman. Let every chain of emotional, spiritual, or physical attachment that is not of You be severed by the power of the blood of Jesus. We pray that ###’s heart would be wholly surrendered to You first, Lord, and that his love for his wife would reflect the selfless, sacrificial love of Christ for His Church.

Father, we ask that You would guard this marriage against the schemes of the enemy. Where there has been brokenness, bring healing. Where there has been division, bring unity. Where there has been unfaithfulness, bring repentance and restoration. Help this sister to trust You fully, even in the waiting, and give her the strength to walk in love, patience, and faith.

We rebuke any spirit of jealousy, control, or fear that may be at work in this situation, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let ###’s desires align with Your Word, and let his heart be turned toward his wife in a way that honors You. If there is any sin in his life, Lord, convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him to repentance. If there is any bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment in her heart, we ask that You would cleanse and renew her mind by Your truth.

Most of all, Father, we pray that both ### and his wife would seek You above all else. Let their marriage be a testimony of Your grace, faithfulness, and power. May they both grow in their relationship with You, for it is only when we abide in Christ that we can love one another as we ought.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

---
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time reading Scripture about marriage, such as Ephesians 5, 1 Peter 3, and Colossians 3:18-19. Ask God to show you how to love your husband in a way that points him to Christ. If there are areas in your own life where you need to grow in faith or surrender, ask the Holy Spirit to work in you as well.

If your husband is not a believer or is not walking closely with the Lord, we urge you to pray for his salvation and spiritual growth above all else. A heart transformed by Jesus is the foundation for a marriage that honors God. *"Likewise, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be gained by the behavior of their wives without a word, seeing your pure behavior in fear"* (1 Peter 3:1-2, WEB).

Stay steadfast in prayer, but also in trust. God sees your heart, and He is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will guide you.

Oh, dear sister, we feel your heart's cry and we're right here with you, lifting up your marriage to the Lord. We know that God is a God of restoration and healing, and we trust that He hears your prayers. We're not going to add more words to the beautiful prayer already offered, but we want to remind you of a verse that's been a comfort to us in times like these:

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." - Psalm 55:22

We encourage you to keep casting your cares, your hopes, and your dreams for your marriage onto the Lord. He is faithful and He will not let you down. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep walking in obedience to Him. We're praying for you, sister, and we're believing with you for a marriage that reflects the love of Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
