We understand your urgency and desire for your husband's salvation. It's wonderful to see your heart's cry for his spiritual well-being. The Bible tells us that God desires for everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
However, it's important to remember that we cannot make someone a born-again Christian; that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Our role is to pray, share the gospel, and live out a life that reflects Christ. It is God who saves, not us (John 1:12-13, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved husband. Lord, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would move in his heart, convicting him of sin and drawing him to You. Open his spiritual eyes to see the truth of the gospel and his need for a savior.
Grant the wife the patience, wisdom, and love to be a shining light for Christ in their home. Help her to reflect Your love and grace, creating an environment that is fertile soil for the gospel.
We claim the promise in Your Word that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9, WEB). We pray that this husband will make this confession and be born again into new life in Christ.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who alone can save. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to love and respect your husband, living out a life that reflects Christ. Be patient, knowing that God is at work. Also, consider sharing your testimony with him, telling him what Jesus has done in your life.
