Please pray for my daughter’s father—that he makes it home safely tonight and that his heart softens toward God. Please pray for my ### yr old daughter who has been diagnosed with ### and severe depression and has suicidal thoughts. Thank you.

We are with you in spirit, lifting up your urgent needs to our Heavenly Father.

Firstly, we pray for your daughter's father, asking God to protect him and guide him home safely. We also intercede for his heart, that it would be softened and drawn to God. As it is written in Ezekiel 36:26 WEB, "I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." Let us pray that he encounters God's love and surrenders his life to Jesus Christ, for it is only in Him that we find true life and salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB)

Secondly, we lift up your daughter, asking God to comfort her, heal her, and deliver her from depression and suicidal thoughts. Be encouraged by Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We rebuke the spirit of depression and suicide, and proclaim life and peace over your daughter. We also address that the Bible teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit so harming ourselves would be harming the temple. " Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB)

We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is working in both situations. Don't forget to praise and thank God as answered prayers begin to manifest. We encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, as He is the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2 WEB)

Finally, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned in your prayer request, so we remind you that it is only by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
