We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your relationship. Our prayers are with you, and we are here to provide you with guidance based on the word of God.
Firstly, we want to commend you for acknowledging Jesus in your request. It is only through His name that we can find true peace and guidance.
Let's turn to the Bible for some wisdom. In Proverbs 31:10-12 WEB, it speaks of a wife of noble character: "Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life." Trust is a fundamental aspect of any relationship, and it's clear that it has been broken in your situation.
We commend you as the scripture does to so many women that are seeking marriage.
It's important to remember that God calls us to be discerning and wise. In Matthew 10:16 WEB, Jesus says, "Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." It's wise to protect yourself and not ignore potential warning signs.
Concerning your suspicions, the Bible says in John 8:32 WEB, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." Pray fervently for God to reveal the truth, whatever that may be. Trust that He will guide you through this difficult time.
However, we must also rebuke the spirit of jealousy and suspicion that can consume a relationship. The Bible warns against being quick to anger or assumption. In James 1:19 WEB, it says, "So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger."
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is facing troubles in her relationship. We pray for Your guidance and wisdom to surround her. If there is deceit in this relationship, we pray that You reveal it, that she may be protected and freed from any harm.
Help her to be discerning and wise, like the serpent, and pure and innocent, like the dove. Give her the strength to face whatever truth You reveal, and the faith to trust in Your plan for her life.
We also pray against any spirit of jealousy or suspicion that may be clouding her judgment. Help her to be slow to anger and quick to listen, always seeking Your truth.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in God's plan for your life, and He will direct your paths.
We pray for you and we feel you are very wise in keeping your eyes open before the marriage.
