We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your husband in this urgent hour, knowing that our God is a God of mercy, healing, and deliverance. Your cry for his physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration resonates deeply with us, and we stand in agreement with you, declaring that the Lord’s will is for wholeness and life—not death—in every area of his being.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we rebuke every spiritual attack against your husband in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), and we declare that your husband will be freed from the heavy oppression he is under. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that your husband will turn to Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith, and find hope in Him alone.
We also lift up his physical health, asking the Lord to restore strength to his body and wisdom to take his medication as prescribed. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray that your husband will honor God by caring for the body the Lord has given him. May the Holy Spirit convict him of the need to steward his health well, not out of obligation, but out of a heart surrendered to Christ.
Most urgently, we plead for his salvation. There is no greater need than for him to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that today will be the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). May the Holy Spirit open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus died for his sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who repent and believe (Romans 10:9-10). If he has strayed from the faith, we pray for a radical return, that he would turn from any hardness of heart and embrace the love and forgiveness found only in Christ.
We also encourage you, dear sister, to continue standing in faith. Do not grow weary in prayer, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16). Cling to the promise that the Lord hears your cries and is working even now. Trust that He who began a good work in your husband will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious husband who is in such a dark and desperate place. Lord, You are the God who heals, who restores, and who saves. We ask that You would touch his body, mind, and spirit with Your healing power. Break every chain of depression, despair, and spiritual oppression that has bound him. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and renew his mind with Your truth.
Lord, we pray for his salvation—whether it is a first-time surrender or a return to You. Softening his heart, Lord, and draw him to Yourself. Let him encounter Your love in a way he cannot deny. Convict him of his need for You, and may he turn from any sin or rebellion that has separated him from Your presence. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the plans You have for him are plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Give his wife the strength, wisdom, and perseverance to continue praying and trusting in You. Surround this family with Your angels, Lord, and let Your light shine brightly in this darkness. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
