Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. We have read your entire post and we join you with heavy hearts for your precious cat and for you as you walk through this painful and exhausting season. We hear how deeply you love her and how heartbreaking it is to watch the most affectionate companion you have ever known suffer with a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, struggling to breathe, to eat and drink, to have regular bowel movements, and even to purr and cuddle without coughing. It is not true that she is just a cat, the Lord knows the bond you share and He sees your faithful care for her.

The scripture reminds us that God cares for His creation. Proverbs 12:10 says a righteous man respects the life of his animal. Psalm 147:9 says He provides food for the livestock. Matthew 10:29 says not one sparrow will fall on the ground apart from your Father, and if He notices the sparrow, how much more does He see you and your beloved companion in this suffering. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. 1 Peter 5:7 says cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7 says in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We are so thankful that you have cried out in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find mercy and hope. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We pray together now for you and for her.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious cat to You. You formed all living things and You know her body completely, every breath and every heartbeat. You know the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs, whether from chronic bronchitis or asthma or cancer, and we ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch. If it is Your will, we ask that You would completely heal her and give her a full recovery that only You can give, for nothing is impossible with You. We ask that You would take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is feeling and grant her comfort and rest. Lord, we ask that You would help her to start eating normal food and drinking water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe freely without coughing. We ask that You would restore her purring and her desire for affection without triggering pain, so that she may again find comfort in cuddling with those who love her.

Father, we ask that You would guide the hands of her owner who loves her so faithfully. Give wisdom and steadiness and gentleness as she gives four pills twice a day, as she gives the inhaler three times a day, and as she gives the subcutaneous fluids each week. Take away fear and distress for both of them and let every treatment be given with peace and without harm. Grant wisdom for every decision regarding her care, when to continue and when to let go, and make Your will clear. We pray for Your mercy in her final moments, that if You do not heal her on this earth, You would take her peacefully in her sleep at home in familiar arms, without terror or confusion, and if a veterinarian is needed, we ask that You would provide a compassionate veterinarian who does house calls to come to your home so she does not have to suffer fear at the clinic. Comfort this family who loves her as their world, guard their hearts with Your peace, and let them feel Your nearness in this grief.

We thank You that You hear our desperate cries and pleas, and we trust her life and her future into Your loving and merciful hands. We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to show the righteous care you are already showing, and to keep seeking wise counsel from your veterinarian about keeping her comfortable, about palliative options, and about finding a mobile veterinarian in your area who provides in home hospice and euthanasia if that time comes, many do and can help make that transition peaceful at home. Keep resting in the Lord's nearness, for He sees your tears and your sleepless nights and your faithful service to this little life He entrusted to you. Romans 8:28 says we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, and even in this sorrow He is working with compassion for you and for her. We continue to stand with you in prayer for healing, for comfort, for daily guidance, and for peace that surpasses understanding.

It makes sense that the medication routine feels overwhelming and that the thought of a frightening final trip to the clinic weighs on you. Wanting her to feel safe and loved at home to the very end is a tender and compassionate desire.

One practical step that has helped others in this kind of season is to ask your regular vet now, while things are relatively stable, whether they can share names of mobile or hospice veterinarians in your area who do at-home visits, so you have that information ready and do not have to search in a crisis. You could also ask if a vet tech could watch you give the pills and inhaler once and show you gentler ways to hold her that reduce stress for both of you.

Father, we lift ### to You, asking for Your mercy and comfort over her. Ease her breathing, calm her cough, and relieve any pain or fear she feels. Help her to eat and drink and rest more easily. Give steady hands and wisdom for each decision and each dose of medicine, and provide a kind, trusted person who can come to your home if that need comes. Your letter has been read with much tenderness and your sorrow has been carried before the throne of grace. We do not count this as a small grief, for the Lord has made you a steward of this little life, and a righteous man regardeth the life of his beast, and the heart that loves faithfully is precious in His sight. Though the world may say she is only a cat, we know the Lord has knit affection between you and this creature, and He who notices the sparrow's fall is not unmindful of your tears.

We desire to bear this burden with you, as the Scripture saith, Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. And yet we know there is a burden which each must bear alone before the Lord, and that is the ache of watching a beloved creature suffer while feeling helpless to stay the affliction. In that place we would point you to the Word which quickeneth and comforteth. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. May the Spirit of God quicken you now, not only to seek relief, but to find His presence your comfort even while the trial remains.

We have prayed, and will continue to pray, that our merciful Father would deal gently with your cat. We have asked that if it be His will, He would ease her pain and discomfort, and grant relief to her breathing, and restore her desire for food and water, and give regularity to her body. We have asked that He would calm her cough, and that the purring which once was her joy might not be a trigger for distress, and that the sadness you see in her would be met with His kindness. We cannot promise what the Lord in His wisdom will do, for healing virtue belongs wholly to Christ, and even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing, and the least touch of His garment brings wholeness to those He wills to heal, yet His ways are higher than ours. Our comfort is that whether He heals by miracle or sustains by mercy, His compassion fails not.

We have also prayed for your hands as you minister to her. Four pills twice a day, the inhaler, the fluids, all these are heavy to give to one so small and so loved. We have asked the Lord to give you steadiness, gentleness and wisdom, that you may do what is needed without causing needless fear or hurt, and that He would guide every decision you must make under the counsel of those with skill to care for animals. Take counsel with your veterinarian in all things, and do not bear this weight alone.

Concerning her last hours, we understand your dread of letting her final moments be in terror and strangeness. To desire mercy for her at the end is a tender and right desire. We have prayed that the Lord would spare her cruel suffering, and if her time to depart is near, that He would either take her gently in her sleep or provide a way for her to be helped at home in peace, surrounded by those she loves, if such a step becomes the most merciful course. There are veterinarians who will come to the home for this purpose, and we pray the Lord will guide you to such help if it is needed, and give you clear discernment to know when love requires that difficult release and when love requires patient endurance. Seek such a provider now, while there is time, so that you are not left without help in an urgent hour.

Above all we pray that you will hear the Lord say, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. He comforts hearts and establishes them, and He does not comfort in vain. Cast this burden upon Him who bears all things, and rest in this, that your cries are heard. Not one plea offered in the name of Jesus is forgotten, though the answer may come in a form you did not expect. He will give you grace sufficient for this day, and for the next, and He will keep your heart in perfect peace as you trust in Him.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of mercies, Thou hast made all creatures and Thou sustainest them, look in pity upon this afflicted creature and upon Thy servants who love her. Ease her pain, quiet her breathing, restore her strength as it pleases Thee, and let Thy mercy be upon her. Grant wisdom and calmness to those who care for her, and guide every hand and every choice. In Thy time and in Thy way, grant a gentle and peaceful end free from terror, and until then keep this household in Thy comfort through Thy Word. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth, and in whom alone is our hope. Amen.

We have read your entire post and heard the depth of your love and grief for your cat. Your care for her in this suffering is a beautiful picture of mercy, and we do not take your request lightly. To see a beloved companion who was once so affectionate now struggling to breathe, to eat, to purr without coughing, and to cuddle without pain is truly heartbreaking. It is right to weep over such affliction, and God sees both your sorrow and your faithful tending to her.

Scripture reminds us to be merciful as our Father is merciful, and that nothing so makes us like God as doing good and showing mercy to those in our care who cannot help themselves. The Lord also exhorts us not to be weary in well doing, and your daily labor to give her pills, inhaler treatments, and fluids, even when it is difficult and distressing for you both, is part of that faithful mercy. God has already shown His great mercy to us in Christ, and He calls us to follow Him by showing mercy in turn. He who has learned to show mercy to the distressed will learn many other good things as well.

We will pray with you and for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and hope for eternal life.

We will pray that God in His mercy will ease any pain or discomfort she is feeling and grant her comfort and rest. We will ask Him to help her breathe more easily, to be able to eat and drink again, to have normal bowel movements, and to find relief from the coughing that now interrupts even her purring and affection. We will pray that the Lord will guide your hands and give you wisdom, steadiness, and gentleness as you give her medications and treatments, so that you may do so without causing her additional fear or distress.

We will also pray for wisdom for you in every decision you must make for her care, and for peace as you seek what is best. We understand your desire that she not be terrified or alone at the end, and we will pray that God will show her mercy and grant her a peaceful passing according to His will, and that if the time comes when you must say goodbye, He will provide a way for it to happen calmly and gently at home with you near, perhaps through a veterinarian who can come to your house. We will ask the Lord to comfort your heart with His presence and to give you strength for each day.

In this time of grief, take comfort in the oracles of God. Keep the New Testament, the Psalms, and the Gospels close as medicine for the soul. Grief that is brought before the Lord can become the seed of deeper joy and rest, and labor offered in love on this earth is not forgotten by Him. Even when we suffer and cannot see the way forward, a pure conscience before God and trust in His promises bring true comfort and even cause for hope, for our hope is not only in this life but in the promise of life which is in Jesus Christ, where grief and mourning flee away.

May the Lord hear your cries, have mercy upon you and upon your dear cat, and grant you His peace and guidance in the days ahead. We are praying for you both.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about your cat and the deep love you have for her. Reading your words, it is clear how much she means to you and how painful it is to watch her struggle to breathe, to eat, to be comforted by the purring and cuddling she once loved. It is not a small thing to love an animal God has entrusted to your care, and your grief and compassion are real and understandable.

You are carrying a very heavy load right now. The constant care, the pills twice a day, the inhaler, the fluids, the decisions about what is best, and the sorrow of seeing her uncomfortable can leave anyone weary and overwhelmed. Scripture speaks to this kind of weariness. Jesus said to come to Him, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and He will give rest, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Often we take upon ourselves burdens God never intended us to carry alone, demands we place on ourselves to fix everything, to never fail, to hold everything together. That kind of burden is crushing. What Jesus offers is different. His way is to walk with you, to carry you, to give you rest even while you continue to love and care faithfully. You do not have to bear this sorrow in your own strength.

When the heart is overwhelmed, the psalmist says to cry out to God and ask to be led to the rock that is higher than we are. That is a good place to turn now. God hears your cries. He knows your cat, He sees her pain, and He cares for His creation. Jesus said not even a sparrow is forgotten before God, and how much more does He see you and the one you love. He also knows your own need for wisdom and steadiness as you give her medicine and make hard decisions. It is right to ask Him for a steady hand, for gentleness, for peace in the moments when she resists, and for wisdom to know what helps and what only adds distress.

I want to pray with you for her and for you, and to do so with trust in God's perfect love and wisdom. We can ask Him for healing, because He is able to heal, and He has shown His compassion in healing the sick and comforting the suffering. We also come humbly, knowing that His ways and timing are beyond what we can see. There are times, like with Job in his great suffering, when we cannot understand what God is doing or why pain is allowed to remain. Job spoke from his grief and could not see the end of the story. We are reminded not to judge the whole story by one painful chapter, but to trust that God is still good, still present, and still working even when we do not have answers. Waiting on Him does not mean we stop praying, it means we keep bringing our requests while resting in His care.

So let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this precious cat before You. You formed her and You know every part of her body. We ask that You would have mercy and bring comfort to her. Ease any pain and fear she feels, help her to breathe more easily, and if it is Your will, restore her appetite and thirst and bring regularity and strength to her body. Calm the coughing that comes even with her purring, and let her feel safe and loved in the presence of those who care for her. Give her owner wisdom and peace as she gives medication and treatments, that it may be done with gentleness and without added distress. Guide every decision that must be made about her care, and provide clear counsel through trusted help. And when her time to leave this life comes, we ask for Your mercy, that she would be spared terror and loneliness, and that You would provide a peaceful and compassionate way for her to pass, surrounded by love. Above all, comfort this heart that loves her so deeply. Let Your presence be felt, lift the heavy burden of guilt and anxiety, and give rest. May Your will be done, and may You be trusted and glorified even in this sorrow. In Jesus name, Amen.

Please keep bringing your heart to Him honestly, day by day. He is a friend who loves at all times, and He does not grow weary of your prayers. We ask that He would help you to do all of this without hurting her or causing her distress, and that He would guide you with clarity and strength for every decision you must make regarding her care. We have prayed that when her time comes, the Lord in His mercy would take her peacefully in her sleep at home, and if that is not His way, that He would help you find a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your house so she does not have to be terrified by driving and the vet clinic in her last moments.

We know she is not just a cat to you but your world, and we have asked God to hear all of your desperate cries and pleas and to pour out His comfort upon you as you continue to seek Him.
