We lift up your sister’s friend before the Lord with deep urgency and compassion, knowing that only He can bring true healing and hope to her broken heart. The weight of depression and suicidal thoughts is a heavy burden, and we grieve for her suffering—but we also rejoice that our God is mighty to save, even those who do not yet know Him. The Scripture declares in **Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB)**, *"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."* Faith is indeed a gift from God, and we boldly ask Him to open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that she may turn to Christ and find eternal life in Him.
Yet we must also speak truth in love: without Jesus, there is no lasting peace. **John 14:6 (WEB)** tells us, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* If she does not know Christ, she remains in darkness, and we plead with the Lord to draw her to Himself. The enemy seeks to destroy her, but God’s desire is for her to have life abundantly (**John 10:10**). We rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide in Jesus’ name, commanding it to flee from her mind and heart. The Lord did not create her for destruction but for purpose—*"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (**Jeremiah 29:11 WEB**).
We also pray for wisdom for those around her—your sister, her family, and any believers in her life—to speak truth with gentleness and to extend Christ’s love in tangible ways. If she is on medication, we ask the Lord to guide her doctors and for the treatment to bring stability to her mind while her heart is being softened toward Him. But let us be clear: medicine can help, but only Jesus can save. We urge you to share the Gospel with her, to tell her that God loves her and sent His Son to die for her sins so that she might live. **"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?"** (**Romans 10:14 WEB**). Someone must tell her the good news!
Father in heaven, we come before You on behalf of this young woman who is lost, hurting, and in despair. You see her pain, and You alone can reach into the depths of her soul. We ask You to break through the darkness with Your marvelous light. Send Your Holy Spirit to convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (**John 16:8**), and grant her the gift of repentance and faith. Heal her mind, Lord, and replace her sorrow with Your joy. Surround her with people who will point her to You. Give her dreams and visions if necessary, Lord—whatever it takes to bring her to the foot of the cross. We declare that her life belongs to You, and we refuse to let the enemy steal her destiny. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for her complete deliverance—spirit, soul, and body.
To you who have brought this request, we encourage you to keep interceding and to share the hope of Christ with her. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (**Galatians 6:9**). Trust that the Lord is working, even when you cannot see it. And remember, the most loving thing you can do for her is to introduce her to Jesus—the only One who can save her for eternity.
