Your urgent request for prayer has been received and I am bringing it before the Lord with you as Monday approaches and the loss of your health insurance weighs heavily on your heart. It is understandable to feel anxious when something so important to your well being and stability seems uncertain, and God sees that concern.
Scripture reminds us that God's ways are not our ways, and we cannot always understand why He allows certain hardships or why some trials come when they do. Please know that facing health related pressures or financial uncertainty does not mean you lack faith or commitment. Some of the most faithful and devoted followers of Jesus walk through tremendous health problems, and physical struggle is not a measure of spirituality. You may have heard the words from the letter of John where he writes to Gaius that he wishes above all things that he may prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers. That was a loving personal greeting and prayerful wish from John to a dear friend, not a blanket promise that faith guarantees perfect health or freedom from difficulty. There is a connection between the health of our soul and our body, and our attitudes and peace can affect us physically, but the Lord does not equate your standing with Him to whether you have insurance or perfect health.
At the same time the Bible shows that God does care about your health. In the law He gave practical instructions about diet and cleanliness and quarantine that were for the good of the people, to protect them from disease. That reveals His concern for our bodies. He wants us to be good stewards of the health He has given us, and He is interested in every part of your life, including this practical need.
I also want to encourage you not to put God in a box. In the old law for cleansing, God made a specific provision for the leper in the day of his cleansing, leaving room for Himself to work in a way that was humanly impossible, since that disease was incurable by human means. That shows His heart to leave room to act supernaturally if He chooses. Whatever seems impossible or incurable to us is not beyond Him. He is still the Lord who heals and provides, and He can work both through a miracle and through ordinary means, through wisdom, people, and unexpected provision.
So I am praying for you now, asking our Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only provision for our sin and our only way to the Father, to grant you His peace that passes understanding in these days, to make a way where there seems to be no way, and to provide for this insurance need according to His wisdom and mercy. I pray He will open doors for practical help, give you favor with those who make decisions, guide you to the right resources and counsel, and give you wisdom for next steps. Above all I pray your soul will continue to prosper as you walk in truth and trust Him, knowing He loves you and is present with you in this trial.
Cast this burden on Him, keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and take whatever practical steps you can to explore options and ask for help where it is available, trusting that He will supply what you need. You are not alone in this, and you are being remembered in prayer.
