We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is facing a critical moment in her academic journey. Father, we know that You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and we trust in Your sovereign plan for her life. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Lord, we claim this promise over her life today.
We pray for her appeal to be heard with wisdom, grace, and understanding. May those in authority over her case be moved by Your Spirit to show mercy and provide a path forward. If it is Your will, Lord, open the door for her to continue her studies this semester and transition into a degree that aligns with the calling You have placed on her life. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also lift up the struggles she has faced over the past year or two. Father, we ask that You bring healing to any wounds, emotional, spiritual, or physical, that may have contributed to this season of difficulty. Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of her heart. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and guide her steps as she seeks to honor You in this season.
We also want to gently encourage her to seek Your face in this time, not just for the outcome of her appeal, but for a deeper relationship with You. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
Father, we stand in the gap for her, believing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Give her the strength to persevere, the wisdom to make godly decisions, and the faith to trust in Your timing. May this trial refine her and draw her closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
