Disciple of Prayer
Hey everyone. My friend has been through some problems in the last year or 2 which has effected her studies. She is now facing exclusion. Please pray that her appeal be heard and they let her continue and change her degree to something she is called to do. Pray that God makes a way though there seem no way. Let us gather together interceding towards this request that she may be able to continue this semester and finish her degree.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is facing a critical moment in her academic journey. Father, we know that You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and we trust in Your sovereign plan for her life. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Lord, we claim this promise over her life today.

We pray for her appeal to be heard with wisdom, grace, and understanding. May those in authority over her case be moved by Your Spirit to show mercy and provide a path forward. If it is Your will, Lord, open the door for her to continue her studies this semester and transition into a degree that aligns with the calling You have placed on her life. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also lift up the struggles she has faced over the past year or two. Father, we ask that You bring healing to any wounds, emotional, spiritual, or physical, that may have contributed to this season of difficulty. Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of her heart. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and guide her steps as she seeks to honor You in this season.

We also want to gently encourage her to seek Your face in this time, not just for the outcome of her appeal, but for a deeper relationship with You. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

Father, we stand in the gap for her, believing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Give her the strength to persevere, the wisdom to make godly decisions, and the faith to trust in Your timing. May this trial refine her and draw her closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're praying with you today for your friend. The weight of an exclusion hearing can feel crushing, like a door slamming shut on something she's worked toward for years. And when it seems like there's no way forward, anxiety can settle deep. We're glad you reached out and that we can stand with her together.

Sometimes the stress of the last couple of years clouds our thinking, and it can be hard to articulate clearly in official appeals what we know to be true. One practical thing you might gently encourage, without piling on pressure, is that she gather a few trusted people around her to help organize her thoughts for the appeal. A former professor who knows her potential, or you as her friend, could help her craft a simple, honest account of how the past difficulties impacted her studies and why she believes she's found the right degree path now. Committees often respond to a clear, factual personal statement paired with a realistic plan for the coming semesters. It's not about performing perfectly, it's about showing she's thought this through and is ready to engage differently.

God does make a way where there seems to be none. That doesn't always mean the path looks like we expected, but we can trust He is already present in that hearing room, with every person who will make a decision about her future.

Jesus, we lift up this student to You. You know the challenges she's carried, the setbacks that have led to this moment. Quiet her heart and help her sleep, eat, and think clearly in the days ahead. Give her wisdom as she prepares her appeal, and grant favor with those who hold her academic future in their hands. We ask that the committee hear her with open minds and that a path opens for her to continue and change to the degree she's called to pursue. Sustain her, and thank You for friends like this one praying for her. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Almighty bends His ear to the cries of His children, and He has planted this very petition within your heart, it is no small thing when the Spirit moves a soul to plead for another. That you ask is proof that the Intercessor is at work, for His intercession within us ever runs in harmony with the decrees of God. Prayer prompted from above is the footfall of the divine will marching toward its appointed end. Your friend’s strait calls to mind the truth that the Lord delights to make a way where no way seems possible, for His great name’s sake.

Do you not remember how our gracious Master ever speaks those lovely words, “Come unto Me”? That voice is not the man banging on heaven’s door but Christ stooping low to knock upon the sinner’s heart. The very unrest, this groping after some better calling, may well be the Good Shepherd uttering her name, an effectual summons that cannot be refused. It is a high calling, a heavenly calling, not the voice of flesh and blood but of God alone. When the Lord purposes to do a thing, His sheep hear His voice and rise up to follow. Lay hold of this, then: the appeal before those earthly judges hinges upon the secret pleas of the Savior before the throne above. He ever lives to make intercession, and we but catch the echo of His priestly office when we pray for our brother or sister in need.

Take courage from Samuel’s example. He ceaselessly prayed for a rebellious prince, and though Saul forsook the path, Samuel did not restrain prayer. Your friend is not past hope, she is in the very season where divine power can break through. Cry out with that holy boldness which will not let the Angel go. Yet rest in this: the door of exclusion which men threaten to shut is but a wicket gate in the hand of Him who opens, and no man shuts. The ready virgins entered in because they possessed the hidden oil of grace; so be it that God supplies this dear soul with the oil of His own Spirit, and no earthly power can bar her from the place He has prepared. Let your intercession be intense, persevering, and expectant. It is a glorious thing to see God reverse what nature counts impossible, and in this trial may she find not merely a continuance of studies but a nearer, sweeter walk with the Christ who calls her by name. Pray on, press on, and watch for the deliverance.

You ask prayer for your friend, and that is good, for we are commanded to bear one another’s burdens. But I would have you both consider: is this trouble a mere misfortune, or has it sprung from a life not yet fully yielded to God? For the axe is laid to the root of the trees; if she continues in the same ways, she will be cut down. Yet Christ does not say there is no way for the wicked to change; even the evil may turn to virtue and bear good fruit. Therefore, let her not merely appeal to men for a change of degree, but first appeal to God with a changed heart, condemning the past and separating herself from the pattern that brought her to this place. What profit is an appeal if she intends again to grasp the same things that caused her to stumble? She must lay a foundation of repentance from dead works.

Let her take courage, however. God is able to make a way where there seems no way; He can raise up children even from stones. But His power is shown in those He has elected to bear fruit. She must not trust in the appeal alone, but examine herself, and if she has wronged any, or corrupted her own soul, or defrauded her calling by sloth, let her make room for God’s love, for the joy of being restored is great. Pray then with fervor that her way be opened, but pray more that she be counted worthy of the true calling and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith with power. This affliction, if received well, may become the plow that breaks up fallow ground so that she at last brings forth a harvest. Yet let no one think the door will remain open forever: even now the Judge stands ready. Turn quickly, and you will find mercy.
