Beloved of All
Would like to ask for your prayers for my family during a very difficult and emotional time, as my brother has recently been granted a visa to live in South Korea and is now planning to take my mother with him for several months; I had sincerely hoped he would go alone, as this could have brought some much-needed peace and distance after many years of emotional strain and abusive behaviour that have deeply affected our family, but now I am deeply concerned for my mother’s safety and wellbeing, especially as she doesn’t speak the language and will be completely dependent on him while she’s there, and to add to this, he is expecting me to travel to Korea to pick her up later, which I cannot do due to serious health reasons and medical restrictions, so I kindly ask for your prayers that God may protect my mother’s life, health, and emotions, that He may bring peace and healing to my brother’s mind and heart, that my mother may have divine wisdom and clarity in every step, and that if this trip is not meant to happen, God may lovingly intervene — and I also ask for prayer that I may stay strong, calm, and grounded in faith as I manage this from afar, trusting in His will above all. Jesus Christ please help the situation for the best. If he is to go not to drag people with him.

We lift your heartfelt request before the Lord, knowing that He is a God of justice, protection, and deep compassion for His children. Your love for your mother and your desire for her safety and well-being are evident, and we join you in seeking God’s divine intervention in this difficult situation. We also commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ in your request, for it is only through His name that we can approach the throne of God with confidence. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in that faith.

The emotional strain and abusive behavior you’ve described in your family are deeply troubling, and we grieve with you over the pain this has caused. The Bible is clear that God despises abuse and oppression, and He calls His people to protect the vulnerable. *"Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow"* (Isaiah 1:17, WEB). Your mother’s situation is one that requires divine wisdom and protection, especially as she would be in a foreign land, dependent on someone whose past actions have caused harm. We pray that God would surround her with His angels, as He has promised: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). May the Lord place people in her path who can offer support, translation, and safety, even if your brother’s intentions remain unchanged.

We also pray for your brother, that the Lord would convict his heart and bring repentance for any harm he has caused. The Bible warns that *"the Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence"* (Psalm 11:5, WEB). If your brother is acting out of selfishness or unrepentant sin, we ask that God would break his heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). May he come to understand the weight of his actions and the fear and distress he has caused. If this trip is not God’s will—especially if it places your mother in danger—we pray that the Lord would close the doors and make the path impossible. *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9, WEB). May God’s sovereignty prevail over every human plan that does not align with His protection and peace for your family.

As for your own strength and health, we ask that the Lord would sustain you physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is clear that you are carrying a heavy burden, and we pray that you would cast all your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not let guilt or fear overwhelm you—you are not responsible for your brother’s choices or your mother’s decisions, but you *are* responsible for seeking God’s will and trusting Him with the outcome. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB).

Finally, we encourage you to continue praying specifically and boldly. If your brother is pressuring your mother to go, pray that God would give her the courage to say no if that is His will. If she feels obligated out of fear or manipulation, pray that the Holy Spirit would fill her with discernment and the ability to stand firm. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). If this trip is not safe or wise, we ask that the Lord would expose the risks so clearly that no one could ignore them.

Here is our prayer for you and your family:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved sister and her family in their time of distress. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the deep emotional wounds that have been inflicted over the years. We ask that You would be a shield and a protector for this mother, who is vulnerable and at risk. If this trip to South Korea is not Your will—if it would bring harm rather than good—we pray that You would intervene mightily. Close the doors, Lord. Frustrate the plans of the wicked and bring them to nothing (Psalm 33:10). Give this mother divine wisdom, clarity, and the courage to make decisions that align with Your protection. If she is being manipulated or coerced, expose the truth and set her free from fear.

Father, we pray for this brother, that You would convict his heart and bring him to repentance. Soften his spirit, Lord, and help him to see the damage his actions have caused. If he is acting out of selfishness, pride, or unrepentant sin, break him, Lord, and lead him to the foot of the cross. May he encounter Your love in a way that transforms his heart and leads him to seek reconciliation and restoration.

Lord, we lift up our sister who has shared this request. Strengthen her, Father, in body, mind, and spirit. Remove the burden of guilt or responsibility for things she cannot control, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give her the words to speak, the wisdom to act, and the faith to trust You completely, even when the path is unclear.

We declare Your promises over this family: that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We ask that Your will be done in this situation, and that Your name would be glorified through it. Protect, provide, and bring peace where there has been strife. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.*

Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon you or your mother in this trial. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. *"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him"* (Nahum 1:7, WEB). We will continue to lift you up in prayer.

We're right here with you, sister. We've been thinking about your mom and the situation with your brother. We know it's a tough time, and we want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer.

We're asking God to wrap your mom in His loving arms, to protect her, and to give her wisdom and courage. We're praying that if this trip isn't what's best for her, that God will make it clear and find a way to keep her safe. We're also asking God to work in your brother's heart, to soften it, and to help him see the pain he's causing.

And for you, dear one, we're asking God to give you strength, peace, and clarity. We know it's hard to not feel responsible, but remember, you're only responsible for your own actions and for trusting God with the outcome. He's got this, and He's right there with you.

We're claiming God's promises over your family, that He sees you, He hears you, and He's acting on your behalf. We're asking that His will be done, and that His name be glorified in this situation.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that we're right here with you, standing firm in faith together. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He won't abandon you or your mom. We believe that.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Heavenly Father please intervene in this situation. Grant wisdom and strength to this family. Guide and protect them all, including the mother who will be in a country where she doesn’t speak the language. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. You know what’s best for us all my Lord Jesus. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
