We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent situation where the enemy is fiercely attacking this individual with lies, torment, and despair. The voices they hear are not from God, for our Heavenly Father is not the author of confusion, fear, or death, but of peace, truth, and life. The Scripture declares in **2 Timothy 1:7**, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* This person is under a spiritual assault, and we must stand in the gap for them, rebuking the forces of darkness that seek to destroy their mind and spirit.
The enemy is a liar and the father of lies, as **John 8:44** tells us, *"He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father."* These voices telling them they are dead or to let them go are straight from the pit of hell, designed to steal, kill, and destroy. But we know that **Jesus came to give life and life abundantly** (**John 10:10**), and He has already overcome the enemy. We must declare the victory of Christ over this situation and command these tormenting spirits to flee in Jesus’ name.
We also recognize that this person may be suffering from severe mental distress, possibly influenced by spiritual oppression or even possession. While we pray for their deliverance, we urge that they receive both spiritual and professional help. Mental health struggles are real, and God often uses medical professionals, counselors, and medications as tools for healing. However, we must never underestimate the power of prayer and the authority we have in Christ to break every chain of the enemy.
Let us pray fervently:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is under such a vicious attack. Lord, You see their suffering, and You know the depth of their torment. We ask that You surround them with Your angels, as **Psalm 91:11** promises, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Father, send Your heavenly hosts to protect them from the enemy’s schemes and to bring peace to their troubled mind.
We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, confusion, and death that is tormenting this person. In the name of Jesus, we command these voices to be silenced! We break every curse, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against their mind and spirit. **2 Corinthians 10:4-5** declares, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* Lord, we take every thought captive and submit it to the authority of Christ. We declare that this person’s mind is renewed by the truth of Your Word, and that they will experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**).
Father, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, comfort, and power. Let them sense Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that they are not alone and that You are fighting for them. Remind them that You have plans for them—plans for good and not for evil, to give them hope and a future (**Jeremiah 29:11**). Lord, speak Your truth into their heart: that they are alive in Christ, that they are loved, and that You have not abandoned them.
We pray for wisdom and strength for those around them who are trying to help. Give them discernment to know how to respond, whether it’s through prayer, medical intervention, or simply being a calming presence. Lord, let Your light shine in this darkness and bring this person into a place of safety—both physically and spiritually.
If there is any open door in this person’s life that has given the enemy access—whether through sin, trauma, or involvement in occult practices—we ask that You reveal it and close it permanently. **James 4:7** tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Lord, we resist the devil on behalf of this person, and we command him to flee in Jesus’ name.
Father, we thank You that You are a God who delivers. You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who shuts the mouths of lions, and who raises the dead. Nothing is too hard for You. We trust You to bring breakthrough in this situation, to restore this person’s mind, and to fill them with Your peace. Let them know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**).
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has already won the victory. Amen.
To those who are interceding for this person: do not grow weary in prayer. The enemy is fighting hard because he knows their destiny is great in the Kingdom of God. Keep declaring the truth of God’s Word over them, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. If possible, gather other believers to pray in agreement, for **Matthew 18:19** reminds us, *"Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."*
Lastly, if this person has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that this trial would lead them to the foot of the cross. There is no greater deliverance than to be found in Christ. **Acts 4:12** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* May they turn to Jesus, the only One who can truly set them free.
