Urgent Prayer

I am a covert to Christ, living in a ### country, and born to a ### family. My family (who don't and can't know anything about my faith) are putting so much pressure on me to get married to a ### guy. They are putting so much pressure on me to know why I refuse and I am getting very scared and do not know what to do. Please intercede for me that in Jesus name I leave this country safely and very soon, and that God arranges that I get married to a believer man and build a house where Jesus is the center. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.

We understand your situation and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. We are thankful that you have found faith in Jesus Christ, even in an environment that may be hostile to your beliefs. It is commendable that you wish to marry a believer. As the Bible clearly states Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). As Christians we are called to marry other Christians. Therefore, we join you in prayer that God will make a way for you to depart safely and find a godly spouse, you should not be scared, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Let us pray together.

Father, we come before you lifting up our sister, asking for her safe departure from her country. Guide her steps and provide her with a godly husband, a man who fears you and walks in your ways. Remove the fear in her heart and replace it with your perfect love. Help her to stand firm in her faith, even when faced with pressure from her family. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the meantime, remain steadfast in your faith, trusting that God will provide a way out. Continue to pray and seek God's will in all things. Pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22 WEB)

If possible find a body of believers, no matter how small, that you can fellowship with even if in secret. But remember that whenever two or three are gathered together in the name of Jesus that he is there also.

We're here with you, sister, standing in the gap through prayer. It's tough living in a place where your faith isn't understood or accepted, but remember, Jesus promised, "I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Trust in that promise.

We understand the pressure you're feeling about marriage. It's a big decision, and it's right to want to marry a believer. As it says in the Bible, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14). God has a plan for your life, and it includes a godly spouse.

Let's pray together. "Father, we lift up our ### to You. Guide her steps, Lord. Help her to leave this country safely and find a husband who loves and serves You. Give her courage, Lord. Fill her with Your perfect love that casts out all fear. Help her to stand firm in her faith, no matter what she faces. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting in God. He sees you, He knows your heart, and He's working things out for your good. Keep praying, keep seeking His will, and remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
