Urgent prayer to stay

Hello everyone my name is ###. It’s a long read so please take your time. Our whole building has been temporarily vacant since last month for repairs. We had no choice but to go to a hotel and stay there for a while. We are now in June ### and the building still has vacant signs on the door and they changed the entrance lock.

I called the landlord yesterday and I text him yesterday but so far I got no reply. Not even from the inspector. The hotel we are staying in is not a luxury hotel but it is a blessing from Jesus Christ because it’s nice and clean with caring workers and we have a big room and a big bed we share. My mother in her 70s can’t walk long distances but she enjoys staying at this hotel and she feels peaceful and it keeps my mentally disabled brother calm.

The problem is that it’s taking a long time for them to open the building so we can return. We have stayed in this hotel since May and now we only have a few days left because the money is going low. I applied for housing and I was never selected. I do not want to go to any shelters because from what I read in the reviews and I was told the shelters in NY are terrible. I do not want to take any chances going there. If it was only me going to the shelter, then that’s fine but I do not want to take my old mother and my disabled brother to the shelter.

It’s horrible and dirty with suspicious people mixed in it and I don’t want to take my mother there. Unfortunately that’s our last option or else we are going to end up in the streets homeless. I talked to Jesus Christ everyday, having conversations with him and also calling for his help. I’m trying to get close to him more than ever. I started reading the Bible on the Bible app during the hotel stay but I stopped because I was upset and worried about the apartment problem and God not doing anything about it.

I did try to stay positive and keep my faith but because of my past experience with God, Jesus Christ never talking to me or giving me miracles and not even ideas, I just go back to negative and sadness. It’s not fair at all because I’m running out of time here and I am on my own. No one can help me except for Jesus Christ because he’s all I have.

I’ve been praying to Jesus Christ to give my mom enough money so we can stay at that hotel until our apartment is fixed. My mom has so much faith in the lord and always praises him and gives him credit. I’m still waiting for that prayer to be answered and it’s killing me. I do not want to take my mom to risky shelters with awful staff workers and horrible conditions.

I tried talking to God but he never removes the weight on me. Please pray for my prayers to be answered. So God can do something about this because I may just end up going to the mental hospital to avoid suicide instead. I never doubted Jesus Christ capable of giving miracles but I don’t know if he will ever help me. I did all can and I am tired out from depression. I can’t take this anymore.

We understand your distress and we are here to pray with you and offer guidance from a biblical perspective.

Firstly, it's important to acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ, as you mentioned having conversations with Him and calling for His help. It's wonderful that you have this faith, as Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." John 14:6 WEB

In times of trouble, it's common to feel overwhelmed and doubt God's plan. But remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB. He sees the bigger picture and works everything together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB

Regarding your living situation, it's commendable that you're seeking a safe and clean environment for your mother and brother. God commands us to honor our parents, as it's the first commandment with a promise. Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB

However, it's crucial to address the underlying spiritual issues. You mentioned feeling upset with God for not doing anything about your situation and doubting if He will ever help you. These feelings are normal, but we must remember that God's timing is perfect. He is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 WEB

You also mentioned stopping your Bible reading due to worry and upset. This is where the enemy often attacks, by discouraging us from spending time in God's Word. But remember, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 WEB. It's vital to stay in the Word, even when we don't feel like it.

Regarding your prayer for provision, remember that God knows our needs before we ask. Matthew 6:8 WEB. He cares for us and will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB

Let's pray together:

"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up our dear ### in need. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the uncertainty of their living situation, and the heaviness in their heart. We ask, Jesus, that You would strengthen their faith, help them to trust in Your timing, and renew their hope.

Lord, we pray for Your provision. You know their needs, and You are more than able to supply them. We ask for Your divine intervention in their living situation, that You would open doors and make a way where there seems to be no way.

We also pray for their spiritual growth, Lord. Help them to remain steadfast in Your Word, even when they don't feel like it. Help them to trust in You, even when they can't see what You're doing.

And Lord, we pray against the spirit of heaviness and depression. We rebuke any suicidal thoughts and declare that You, Lord, have a purpose and a plan for their life.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Lastly, we strongly encourage you to reach out to local churches or Christian ministries in your area. They often have resources and support for those in need. And remember, God is with you, even in this difficult time. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friend. We understand the urgency and the weight of your situation. It's like you're in a holding pattern, waiting for your home to be ready, but the time is running out and the uncertainty is heavy. We can't imagine how difficult this must be for you, your mother, and your brother.

We want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. He sees you, He knows your struggle, and He cares deeply. Remember the story of the disciples in the boat during the storm? They were scared and thought they were going to drown, but Jesus was right there with them, calm and at peace. He told them, "Peace, be still," and the storm subsided (Mark 4:39). He's in the boat with you too, even if it doesn't feel like it right now.

We're going to pray for you, that God would:

- Give you and your family peace and strength to endure this waiting period.
- Provide for your needs, both financially and in finding a suitable place to stay.
- Open the doors of your apartment building soon, and make the way clear for you to return home.
- Protect your mother and brother, especially your mother who is vulnerable due to her age and health.
- Give you wisdom and discernment in navigating your housing options, and protect you from any harmful situations.
- Lift the heavy burden of depression and anxiety from you. Remind you of your worth in His eyes, and fill you with hope and joy.
- Use this situation to draw you and your family closer to Him, and to grow your faith.

We're believing with you that God is going to come through for you, just as He always has. Trust in Him, even when it's hard. He's got this.

And remember, you're not alone. You have a community of believers here praying for you, and we're here to support you in any way we can. If you need someone to talk to, we're all ears. Just let us know.

Stay strong, dear friend. Keep looking to Jesus. He's got you.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

Thank you everyone. I feel more relaxed thanks to you guys and I’m going to continue to read the Bible. I’m not going to call or go to any shelters and instead I’m going to have faith that Jesus Christ is already doing something to help me and my family with this problem and not end up homeless or in worse places. I hope we can stay at the hotel. I know it’s risky not calling the shelter because I have a few days left in this hotel but these shelters are bad for my mom and brother. So I hope that’s okay that I don’t call.

I’ve read that God helps those that help themselves and I did help. I did all I can. So now I’m leaving the rest to Jesus Christ and just stay calm.
