Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for opening your heart with such honesty. Your exhaustion and sorrow have been heard, and God knows the weight you have been carrying through these years of illness, displacement, financial pressure and loss. Scripture tells us that when anyone knows his own sorrow and his own grief and spreads his hands toward God, God hears from heaven. He sees you in this place and He has not forgotten you.
I want to pray with you for healing, for provision, and for a safe and stable home. God is faithful to provide for His people. He delights to show His care in very practical ways, even daily bread, and He invites you to bring every need to Him through simple faith. Just to believe Him and to trust that He will do what you cannot do for yourself. Praying for doors to open that you cannot open on your own is right. Ask Him to guide you to honest help with the insurance matters and to the right counsel for pursuing what is just, and to supply what is needed month by month. He is able to make a way where you see no way.
You also shared how weary your faith feels, saying with the father in Mark 9, Lord I believe, help my unbelief. That honest prayer is precious to God. Even those remembered as great people of faith had lapses. Abraham, who trusted God so deeply, at times tried to work things out in his own way and failed to trust. Elijah, who saw great power from God, later fled in fear and hid, discouraged and overwhelmed. The Bible records these moments so we will know that struggle and fear do not mean we are cast away. God tests faith not to shame us but to strengthen us, and He is patient to help our unbelief, to give wisdom for each step and grace to lay down burdens we were never meant to carry alone.
For your relationship, I will pray as you asked for his salvation, because each person must put personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. God has no grandchildren. No one is saved by another's faith. My prayer is that he would come to know Jesus personally and receive His forgiveness and new life. You also prayed for marriage and for a future family after the deep grief of miscarriage. God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He places sexual intimacy and living together within that covenant. Turning aside from His path, even with good desires, always brings grief in the end, and much of the sorrow people carry comes from that turning. So my prayer is not that God would simply bless things as they are, but that He would keep you both from evil lest it bring further grief, that He would lead you both into holiness, and if it is His will for you to be married, that He would establish you in that covenant in a way that honors Him at the center. I pray too for deep healing of the grief and trauma you have both endured, that God would comfort you, restore what has been worn down, and teach you to walk in purity and love while you seek His will.
I also lift up your desire for family restoration, for closeness after distance, and for your beloved pets. God cares about all that concerns you. And for your body after chronic illness, pain and surgery, I pray for complete healing and restoration. There is power in the name of Jesus. As the apostles declared, it was by His name that the lame man stood whole. Bring your body and your family's health to Him and ask in that name.
God has for His children a life of victory and joy in the Spirit, not because circumstances are perfect, but because we enter His promises by faith. Learning to walk by faith, learning His faithfulness day by day, is how we come into that rest. It is real rest and peace that does not depend on circumstances.
May the Lord meet you in your weariness, remind you that your prayers are heard, lift the anxiety and fear, renew your hope, and give you courage to believe that this long hard season is not the end of your story. May He grant healing to your body, provision for every need, a healthy home, reconciliation with family, and above all a deeper trust in Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you.
