Urgent Prayer Request

We hear your urgent cry and we are standing with you right now in prayer, asking God to meet you in this place of exhaustion and pain. We may not know every detail of what has brought you to saying you cannot keep living like this, but God does, and He hears the deep groaning of your heart even when words are hard to find.

The Word tells us the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18. When we feel overwhelmed He invites us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us in 1 Peter 5:7. Jesus Himself says come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28. We believe He sees your weariness and He is not distant from your suffering. He promises fear not, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you in Isaiah 41:10, and when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I in Psalm 61:2.

We notice your request calls out to God for a breakthrough but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why that name matters so much. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is by calling on His name that we are saved, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved in Romans 10:13. If you have never put your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to confess that you need Him, believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and ask Him to be Lord of your life today. He is the source of true breakthrough, not just of circumstances but of the heart.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the pain, the exhaustion, the feeling of being unable to go on, and You know every burden that feels too heavy to carry. We ask You to draw near right now with Your comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7. Lord, lift this heavy weight, bring rest to this weary soul, and show Your power to make a way where there seems to be no way, for You promise behold, I will do a new thing, now it will spring out in Isaiah 43:19. Give a breakthrough that brings hope, strength for today, and a renewed vision for tomorrow. Remind this dear one that You have plans for peace and not for evil, to give hope and a future in Jeremiah 29:11, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You in Romans 8:28. Protect this life that You created and love, guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let Your perfect love cast out fear in 1 John 4:18. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you not to walk through this alone. God often brings His breakthrough through His presence and through His people. Please reach out today to a trusted pastor, a mature Christian believer, a family member or a counselor, and let someone know exactly how you are feeling. Stay in the Word, even reading a little each day in the Psalms, keep talking honestly to God in prayer, and if you ever feel you might harm yourself, please reach out immediately to someone near you or to a trusted crisis helpline in your area. You are deeply loved and your life has great value to God. We are continuing to pray that God will lift you up, give you strength for each step, and show you His breakthrough and His hope in the days ahead.

We are praying for you and we want to stay with you in this. One steady step that can help right now is to let one safe person know exactly how you are feeling today, whether that is a trusted family member or friend, a pastor, or a counselor or medical professional, and to ask them to stay connected with you in the days ahead. If you have a doctor or counselor you have seen before, please reach out to them as well alongside prayer, so you have caring support close by.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this person to You. You see the pain and weariness they carry and You are near. Please bring Your comfort and protection, surround them with caring people who will listen and stay close, and guide them toward help and hope. Give them strength for today and remind them they are loved and not alone. Amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord, and He has heard the voice of your distress. You say, I cannot keep living like this, and you ask for a breakthrough. I thank God that you have been brought to say this, for when a soul finds there is no hope in itself, it is near to finding that there is hope in God.

Do not draw the unwarrantable conclusion that because there is no hope in yourself there is therefore no hope for you in God. That is despair, and despair is not so much a sickness of the understanding as a sin of the soul. It goes beyond the truth of God to say, My hope is lost. God is the sinner's hope and He is not lost, so the word of despair is not warranted. While you live you may hope, and while you hope you live, for God is the God of hope and those who are without hope are also without God. No man has a right to despair, and to lie down in despair is a form of willful self destruction.

You feel as one going down to the pit, paralyzed and shut up, and you say God will never move His arm to deliver you. That arrow is often shot by Satan, who would have you believe that God's ear is shut. But the more you know of God's attributes, the more you treasure His promises and dive into the depths of His covenant, the more difficult it will be for Satan to tempt you to despondency. Your deliverance must be wrought by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and blessed be His name, He has wrought it.

Nobody would have thought of this way of deliverance if God had not thought of it Himself. He has found a ransom. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins, and therefore He gave His own Son to be slain as the Lamb. Pharaoh held Israel captive through all the plagues, but when the lamb was slain deliverance came, and by that blood you also may be brought forth. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom. Cast yourself wholly upon Christ just as you came at first, only trust Him, only trust Him now, and you shall find that Infinite Mercy has met with you and saved you.

This is your only hope of salvation, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ. Turn from every sin and every false way, and believe on Him with all your heart. He justifies the ungodly and He also sanctifies those whom He justifies, delivering them not only from the guilt of sin but from the power of darkness itself. That deliverance is as much the work of God as justification, and it is found only in Christ.

Therefore I pray for you now, that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon you with healing beneath His wings, that the clock of mercy would strike this hour for your deliverance, that God would turn a possible hope into an actual hope and give you a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ. Though the road may be rough it cannot be long, so smooth it with hope and cheer it with song. You shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and sing with a more jubilant song of a greater salvation than Deborah sang of old.

Look to Christ and live.
