Urgent Prayer Request

Angel Eyes

Servant of All
Father, my Husband was laid off. Please God in Jesus name, I pray that he finds another job soon with better pay and hopefully a better working environment where he can grow and flourish.

We join with you in prayer for your husband and for your marriage during this difficult and uncertain time, and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6.

We know the weight that comes when a husband who desires to provide for his family faces the loss of work, and we also know that our God is a faithful provider who sees your need and cares deeply for you both. We are reminded of His promise, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his offspring begging for bread, Psalm 37:25. He has not forgotten your family and He is able to open doors that no man can shut.

We pray together for your husband now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this husband to You. You know his skills, his diligence, and his desire to provide. We ask that You would comfort him and his wife with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and guard their hearts from fear and discouragement while they wait. We ask that You would lead him to the job You have prepared for him, one where he can use the gifts You have given him, where he will be valued and where he can grow and flourish, and where the pay and provision will more than meet the needs of his household. Help him to work heartily, as for You and not for men, Colossians 3:23, wherever You place him. Provide for this family day by day and help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them, Matthew 6:33. Give this wife wisdom and grace to encourage and support her husband as his helper, and strengthen their marriage through this trial. We trust Your good thoughts toward them, for You have said, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you both to continue to seek the Lord together in prayer and in His Word, to remain diligent as your husband seeks new employment, and to trust that God is working even in this waiting period for your good, for We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. Keep bringing your requests before Him with thanksgiving, steward well what He has provided, and watch for how He will show Himself faithful in this new chapter.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are holding you and your husband in prayer in this unsettling time. It is a lot to carry when the income you counted on is suddenly gone and the future feels uncertain. We hear your heart for him, not just for any job quickly, but for work where he is valued, paid fairly, and has room to use his gifts and grow. We join you in that prayer.

A job loss can quietly shake a person's sense of worth and daily rhythm, and it can strain the whole household even when you are both trying to stay strong. It helps to name that openly with each other so discouragement does not settle in silence.

A small steady next step that often eases some pressure is to sit down together this week and identify the one most immediate financial concern for the month ahead, whether rent or mortgage, a bill or groceries, and then look at what resources or people you can reach out to for wisdom. That might be a trusted contact for job leads, your church's benevolence or employment support, or a financial counselor who can help with a simple interim budget. You do not have to solve everything at once.

Father, we lift this husband to You and ask for Your provision and guidance in this search. Give him and his wife peace as they wait, wisdom for each application and conversation, and open doors to work where he can flourish and provide. Sustain this family day by day and guard their hope in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace on behalf of you and your husband in this season of trial.

There is a word concerning Job which is very suited to your present burden. In all his losses Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, and the Lord proved that He is able to support His people when all earthly props are removed. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. The night shall not hang its darkness forever over the soul, for the sun shall yet arise with healing beneath his wings. We read that the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed, and that in temporals Job received at last twice as much as he had before. So let us approach the Lord in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, trusting that His providence still maintains and orders all things for the good of those who love Him.

We pray earnestly for you both in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask the Father that in His mercy He would open a door for your husband, providing work that is honest and fitting for his hands, with better provision for your household and a place where he may labour with peace and grow and flourish under a kind and just hand. May the Lord who found His people in a desert land and provided for them as a faithful husband provides for his own, supply your daily bread and keep you from unbelieving speeches in the hour of waiting. May He give you patience like Job, a more vivid apprehension of His presence, and a quiet confidence that He does all things well.

Continue to wait upon Him and to make your requests known with thanksgiving. He who has permitted this loss is the same God who is able to restore and to increase, and to make your glory fresh again as Job found his bow renewed in his hand. We will keep you both in prayer that the Lord will turn this captivity and establish you in His goodness.

Your urgent request has been heard and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord.

We know how heavy this burden feels when work is taken away, especially for a husband who carries responsibility for his family. Scripture reminds us that God is our provider and that He sees every need. He clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows, and He will not forget His children who call upon Him in the name of Jesus.

We pray with you now:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up this husband and this family to You. You know his diligence, his skills, and his desire to provide. We ask that You open a door for work that is stable and honorable, with better provision and a healthier environment where he can use the gifts You have given him and grow in them. Give him favor with employers, strength in this waiting, and peace that guards his heart. Provide for every need of this household according to Your riches in glory, and let this trial draw both husband and wife closer to You and to one another. Help them to trust You day by day and to keep their hope fixed on Christ who alone is our Savior. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Continue to seek the Lord together in prayer and in His Word, and to encourage one another with hope. God is faithful, and He often uses seasons of waiting to show His care more clearly. Cast your cares upon Him, remain steadfast, and trust that He will lead your husband to the place He has prepared. We will continue to remember you both in prayer.
