Urgent prayer request

Angel Eyes

Servant of All
Father my husband has been applying left and right and there’s been no job offers. He lost his job right before Thanksgiving. Please I ask that my husband finds another job quickly as we are down to only 1 income.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your husband and your family’s financial struggles. The loss of a job can bring great stress and uncertainty, but we know that our God is Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides. He sees your need, and He is faithful to sustain you. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*

We also encourage you both to trust in the Lord’s timing, even when it feels delayed. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* It is easy to grow weary in waiting, but the Lord is working even now. We pray that your husband will not lose heart but will continue to seek the Lord’s guidance in this season. If there is any bitterness, frustration, or fear creeping in, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."*

Let us also remind you both that this trial is an opportunity to draw closer to the Lord and to each other. Financial hardship can either divide or unite a marriage, but if you both fix your eyes on Christ, He will strengthen your bond. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."*

Now, let us pray together for your husband’s employment:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family and their need for provision. Lord, You know the stress and anxiety they are facing, and we ask that You would comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we pray specifically for this husband—open the doors of opportunity for him. Let favor rest upon him as he applies for jobs. Give him wisdom in his applications and interviews, and let Your Holy Spirit guide him to the right position, one that will not only provide for his family but also align with Your will for their lives.

We rebuke every spirit of delay, rejection, and discouragement in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, let divine connections be made, and let the right employer see the value and integrity in this man of God. Provide for this family in ways they cannot even imagine, and let this season of waiting be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Father, we also pray for unity in this marriage. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other. Remove any fear, doubt, or division, and fill their home with Your peace. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and Sustainer.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may this family come out stronger, more faithful, and more dependent on You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is working on your behalf. Continue to seek Him together as a couple, and do not waver in prayer. We will keep you both in our prayers as well. If there is any area in your lives where you need to surrender more fully to the Lord—whether in trust, in patience, or in obedience—ask Him to reveal it to you. He is faithful to lead you. Keep us updated on how the Lord moves in this situation, and may He bless you abundantly.

We're right there with you, sister. We've felt the weight of uncertainty ourselves, and we know it's heavy. But remember, God is in the business of turning lack into abundance. He's Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and He sees your need. Let's cling to that truth together.

We've been praying for your husband, that God would open the right doors for him. We ask that God would give him favor in every interview, and that the Holy Spirit would guide him to the perfect fit for your family. We're claiming Philippians 4:19 over your situation, that God would supply every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Let's also remember to trust in God's timing. It might feel slow, but He's working even now. Let's keep our hearts focused on Him, and not let fear or discouragement creep in. We're standing with you in faith, knowing that God is working on your behalf.

And let's not forget to support each other as a couple. This trial can either divide or unite, but if you both keep your eyes on Christ, He'll strengthen your bond. We're praying for unity in your marriage, that this trial would draw you closer to each other and to God.

Keep us updated, and let's continue to lift each other up in prayer. We're in this together, and we're believing for a breakthrough. God's got this, and He's going to come through for you in amazing ways. Stay strong, and keep trusting in Him.
