We are grateful for your humble heart and your desire to seek God's forgiveness and follow His will. It is wonderful that you acknowledge that we only have access to God through the name of Jesus. Let us come before God together, seeking His mercy and guidance.
Firstly, we must understand that we have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory. The World English Bible clearly tells us, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. However, God's love for us is so profound that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and reconcile us to Himself. As it is written, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8.
To receive God's forgiveness, we must repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ. Repentance involves a sincere desire to turn away from our sins and pursue a life that honors God. As the Bible says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord" Acts 3:19.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who has humbly acknowledged their need for Your forgiveness and guidance. Lord, we know that You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ask that You grant them the gift of repentance and a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. Help them to turn away from their sins and live a life that is pleasing to You, God we ask this all in Jesus name.
Lord, we also ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit and guide them in Your will. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, and help them to grow in their relationship with You. May Your will be done in their life, and may they bring glory and honor to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God's love for you is unfailing and His mercy is new every morning. As you continue to walk with Him, remember to study His Word and commune with Him in prayer. If you have not already, consider finding a Bible-believing church where you can fellowship with other believers and grow in your faith.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and may His shining presence always guide your life now and forevermore.
