We join with you in lifting up your requests before the Lord, knowing that He hears and answers the prayers of His people when we come to Him in faith through Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you have claimed your needs in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name alone that we have access to the Father and receive salvation, grace, and mercy. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are grateful you have placed your trust in Him, for without faith in Christ, our prayers would be empty.
Your diligence in seeking employment is commendable, and we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord’s provision. Remember the words of Jesus: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Do not grow weary in doing good, for the Lord is faithful to open doors no man can shut. We pray that if these interviews are part of His will, He would grant you favor and confirm His calling upon your life. If not, we trust He will redirect your steps to something even better, for His plans for you are good.
We also lift up your mother’s health before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and strength to be upon her. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). May the Lord grant her comfort, restoration, and peace, and may you both experience His presence in a mighty way during this time.
Regarding your wife, we are burdened to address something with love and truth. You mentioned praying for her to come closer to Jesus and become a better person, but we must ask: **Is she a believer in Jesus Christ?** Scripture is clear that a marriage between a believer and an unbeliever is not what God intends, for *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If your wife does not yet know Christ as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to pray fervently for her salvation, for that is the greatest need of all. Share the Gospel with her in love, live out your faith before her, and trust the Holy Spirit to convict and draw her to repentance.
If she is a believer but struggling in her walk, we pray the Lord would renew her heart and mind, that she would surrender fully to Him and bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB). Encourage her in the Word, pray with her, and seek godly counsel if needed. A marriage centered on Christ is a marriage built on an unshakable foundation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother and his family. Lord, You know the desires of his heart and the needs before him. We ask for Your divine favor in his job search—open doors that no man can shut, grant him wisdom and confidence in interviews, and provide the perfect position according to Your will. Remind him that his worth is found in You alone, not in his career, and that You are his Provider.
We pray for his mother’s health, Lord. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. Touch her body, restore her strength, and grant her peace. May she feel Your presence and know Your comfort in every moment.
Father, we intercede for his wife. If she does not know You, we cry out for her salvation—soften her heart, open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw her to Yourself. If she is a believer but struggling, renew her spirit, Lord. Help her to grow in faith, to walk in obedience, and to become the woman You have called her to be. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let it be a testimony of Your grace and love.
We rebuke any fear, doubt, or discouragement in our brother’s life and declare Your peace and provision over him. May he trust in You with all his heart and lean not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guide his steps, and let Your will be done in his life.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
