Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your urgent request and we are joining you in prayer for your appointment tomorrow. Thank you for trusting us to stand with you and bring these needs before the Lord.
We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, our great physician and our peace.
Heavenly Father, we bring our sister before Your throne of grace. You see her pain, You know the burden of these side effects and the suffering in her body, and You hear every prayer. We ask for Your complete protection over her life and for Your guiding hand in every step she takes. Grant her Your peace that passes all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask for wisdom and clarity for this meeting. Give her boldness and clear words to describe her pain and her experience with this medication. Let the technology work well and without disturbance, and let the conversation be calm, respectful and unhurried. We pray that You would give the doctor compassion, attentiveness and wisdom, that she would listen well and desire to help, and that You would guide all decisions about withdrawing this medication safely and about treating her pain in the right way.
We ask that You would surround this appointment with Your presence, that no evil or confusion would disturb it, and that Your holy angels would keep watch according to Your word. We pray that You would lead her to the right care and the right place for her ongoing treatment. If it is Your will, close the door to what is not good for her and open the door to what is best, and keep her integrity and dignity guarded in every interaction.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon her body. Whether through this conversation, through wise medical care, or by Your own mighty hand, bring relief, strength and restoration. Above all, let Your will be done, for Your will is good and perfect and loving. May she come away from this appointment feeling heard, safe and encouraged, knowing that You are with her.
We entrust her, her doctors and this entire situation into Your caring hands, trusting that You are our refuge and strength and that You will give wisdom generously to all who ask. In the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.
We will continue to remember you in prayer. May the Lord grant you rest tonight, peace tomorrow, and confidence that He hears you and is near to you.
