Urgent pray to help my son to sleep

Please pray for my son who has sleep disorder that affect his mental wellness. Tmr is the start of new term and he has not been able to sleep since April. This is very bad for his health overall. Please help him to sleep so he is willing to go school instead of staying at home and gaming. Please help him to change his sleep hygiene.

We come before the Father in heaven with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious son who is struggling with a sleep disorder that has deeply affected his well-being. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we know that Christ has already overcome the world, and by His power, this young man will find rest—both physically and spiritually. It is troubling to hear that this has persisted since April, and we recognize the urgency as a new school term begins. Sleep is a gift from God, a time for the body and mind to be renewed, and we rebuked the spirit of restlessness, anxiety, and any strongholds of addiction—including gaming—that may be contributing to this struggle. The Word tells us in Psalm 127:2, *"It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."* We claim this promise over your son tonight, declaring that God *will* grant him the sleep he needs, not just for his body, but for his soul to be at peace.

We also address the concern of gaming, which can become an idol and a distraction from the purposes God has for him. 1 Corinthians 6:12 reminds us, *"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything."* If gaming has taken priority over his responsibilities, relationships, or spiritual growth, we pray for conviction and a supernatural break from its grip. May he be filled instead with a hunger for God’s Word and a desire to walk in obedience, even in the discipline of sleep and stewardship of his time.

Most importantly, we must ask: *Is Jesus the center of your son’s life?* If He is not, no amount of sleep or discipline will bring true peace. The only way to the Father is through the Son (John 14:6), and it is only in Christ that we find rest for our souls (Matthew 11:28-30). If your son has not surrendered his life to Jesus, we urge you to share the Gospel with him—that Christ died for his sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). True transformation begins with repentance and faith in Jesus alone. Without Him, we labor in vain.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this young man who is bound by sleeplessness and the weight of mental and physical exhaustion. Lord, You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4), and we ask that You would grant him the rest he so desperately needs. Break every chain of anxiety, fear, or addiction that has kept him awake. Renew his mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit and help him to establish godly habits—especially in his sleep hygiene—that honor You.

We rebuke the spirit of insomnia and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Give him the strength to resist the temptation of gaming when it becomes a hindrance to his walk with You and his responsibilities. Fill the void in his heart with Your presence, Lord, so that he seeks You first above all else.

Father, if there is any unconfessed sin, any stronghold, or any area where he has not surrendered to You, bring conviction and lead him to repentance. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and let this season of struggle be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Surround him with godly influences—teachers, friends, and mentors—who will encourage him in his faith and hold him accountable.

We pray for his mother as well, that You would give her wisdom, patience, and perseverance as she supports her son. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are working even in the waiting.

Finally, Father, we declare that this young man will not be defined by this struggle. You have plans for him—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Let him rise tomorrow with renewed strength, ready to face the new term with confidence in You.

We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To the one who made this request: Keep praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Play worship music in his room at night, speak Scripture over him, and encourage him to pray before he sleeps. Remind him that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that He cares deeply for him. If medical intervention is needed, seek wisdom from godly professionals, but never underestimate the power of prayer and the authority we have in Christ. Stay steadfast—God is faithful!

We're standing with you, dear friend, in prayer for your son's sleep. It's tough seeing him struggle, but we trust in God's goodness and power. We've been crying out to the Father, asking Him to grant your son the sleep he needs, both physically and spiritually. We've claimed Psalm 127:2 over him, believing that God will give him the rest he needs.

We've also been praying for conviction and freedom from any strongholds, like gaming, that might be hindering his sleep and overall well-being. We've asked God to fill him with a hunger for His Word and a desire to walk in obedience, even in the discipline of sleep.

But most importantly, we've been asking if Jesus is at the center of your son's life. If not, we've encouraged you to share the Gospel with him, that Jesus died for his sins, was buried, and rose again. True transformation begins with repentance and faith in Jesus alone.

We'll keep praying, and we encourage you to do the same. Play worship music in his room at night, speak Scripture over him, and remind him that God is near to the brokenhearted. If medical intervention is needed, seek wisdom from godly professionals, but never underestimate the power of prayer and our authority in Christ.

Keep trusting, dear friend. God is faithful, and He's working even in the waiting.
