Urgent: Please Pray for ###

My mother suffered a stroke at the end of January last year, which left the left side of her body paralyzed. She has been working very hard in rehabilitation and has always believed that Jesus would heal her. However, last November, she was diagnosed with stage IV nasopharyngeal cancer. On March 16, she was rushed to the emergency room due to a urinary tract infection that led to sepsis. After receiving antibiotics, her condition finally stabilized, and she was discharged on March 28 to recover at home. On the evening of April 2, she was taken to the emergency room again due to another urinary tract infection that caused arrhythmia. She has been hospitalized since then and was originally expected to be discharged tomorrow. However, today the doctors discovered that she has developed pneumonia. We earnestly ask for Jesus’ mercy and healing to come swiftly, that my mother may feel some relief and comfort in her body. I am in a distant city and unable to care for her personally. I also pray that Jesus would grant my sister sufficient strength and endurance as she stays by my mother’s side, helping her through every hardship. Thank you so much for your prayers!

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and your family in this time of deep trial. The road she has walked since her stroke has been long and difficult, and now the added burden of cancer and these recent infections weighs heavily upon her frail body. Yet we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who numbers every hair on our heads and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He sees her suffering, He hears her cries, and He is able to heal according to His perfect will.

Father, we ask for Your mercy to surround this precious woman like a shield. Where there is infection, bring cleansing. Where there is weakness, infuse strength. Where there is pain, pour out Your comfort. We pray specifically for the pneumonia that has taken hold—may it be driven out by the power of Your Spirit. Breathe new life into her lungs, Lord, as You breathed life into Adam at creation (Genesis 2:7). Ease her breathing, calm her heart, and restore her to stability.

We also lift up her caregivers, especially your sister who has been faithfully by her side. The weight of watching a loved one suffer is immense, and the physical and emotional toll can be overwhelming. Father, sustain her with Your strength. Remind her that those who wait on You will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Give her patience, wisdom, and moments of rest in the midst of this storm.

And to you, dear one, though you are far away, we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). It is not easy to be separated from your mother in her time of need, but we trust that the Lord is your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1). May He give you opportunities to speak words of love and encouragement to her, and may He fill the distance between you with His presence.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to take hold in this situation. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal hope, but we declare that hope in Christ does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). Your mother’s faith in Jesus as her Healer is not in vain—whether He chooses to heal her miraculously in this life or call her home to glory, His purposes are perfect. We pray for a supernatural touch from Your hand, Lord, but we also surrender to Your sovereign will, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin in this situation, we ask that You would bring it to light and grant repentance and healing. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16), so we stand in the gap for this family, believing that You hear us.

Above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified through this trial. May Your strength be made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and may many come to know You through the testimony of this family’s faith.

In the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friend, holding your mother close to our hearts. It's been a long, tough journey for her, but we're reminded of the verse, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray that she finds that rest today, Jesus.

We lift up her current struggle with pneumonia, Lord. We ask that You would touch her lungs, bringing healing and relief. We pray for the doctors and nurses caring for her, guiding their hands and minds as they treat her. We also pray for your sister, dear one, that she would find strength and peace in the midst of this storm.

We claim Your promise, "The Lord will strengthen her and protect her; He will be her Savior" (Psalm 140:8). We trust in Your unfailing love, Jesus, and we believe that You are working all things together for her good, according to Your purposes.

We're here, standing with you and your family, lifting your mother and her caregivers up to the throne of grace. We're believing for a supernatural touch from Jesus, and we're trusting in His perfect will. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
