We join you in lifting up these many heavy burdens before the Lord together and we thank you for calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that healing and salvation are found.

We hear your cry for healing for those you love and for yourself. The Word tells us Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3 and I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26 and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We cling to these promises as we pray, knowing that our Lord is compassionate and His will is perfect, and we also trust Him to work through the wisdom He gives to physicians and through proper medical care.

Father in heaven we come before Your throne of grace with confidence as Hebrews 4:16 invites us, and we lift up every physical need mentioned. We pray for the one suffering severe fluid retention and edema, that You would regulate the fluids in the body and bring relief. We pray for the heart and the heart valve that needs healing, that You would strengthen and restore that heart according to Your design. We pray for those battling dehydration, unstable insulin, diabetes insipidus, insulin resistance and unstable blood sugar, and for metabolic acidosis, that You would bring balance and stability to these metabolic systems. We pray for healing of teeth and for relief from pain there, and for the one suffering with dementia, that You would bring peace and comfort and restore as only You can. We ask that You touch each body and bring healing as You will, for Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. We also pray for emotional healing, for You are near to those who have a broken heart, and save those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We cast all our worries on You because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7.

We also lift up the request for salvation for your loved ones. We pray that each one would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith.

You also asked for help with covetousness and comparing yourself to others and we gently address this together because Scripture calls us away from these things. You shall not covet Exodus 20:17 and we are told Be content with what you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you Hebrews 13:5. Comparing ourselves to others is unwise, for we are not wise when we measure ourselves by ourselves and compare ourselves with ourselves 2 Corinthians 10:12. We pray that the Lord would heal your heart of covetousness and free you from comparison, and help you to find your identity and contentment in Christ and to rejoice in how He has uniquely made and gifted you, as each one should prove his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another Galatians 6:4.

You asked to hear His voice and we encourage you that God speaks most clearly through His Word and by His Spirit. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27 and So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ Romans 10:17. We pray that as you abide in Scripture, in prayer, and in quiet waiting before Him, the Lord would make His guidance clear, and give you wisdom, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

So Father we ask together for Your healing touch upon every body and mind and spirit mentioned here, for Your salvation to come to each loved one, for deliverance from covetousness and comparison, and for a clearer hearing of Your voice. Strengthen faith where there is weariness and remind us all that even when we are weak You say Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Your many burdens have been carried before the throne of grace, and we have spread your case before the Lord Jesus Christ, the great Physician of soul and body.

We have heard your cry concerning severe fluid retention and edema, the affliction of the heart and its valve, the trouble with teeth, dehydration, instability of insulin, diabetes insipidus and insulin resistance, metabolic acidosis and blood sugar, and the heaviness of dementia laid upon one dear to you. These are deep waters, and the heart itself is like an unexplored region which no earthly physician can fully search. Yet there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written that He was sent to bind up the brokenhearted, and that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. His healing work is not of debt but of grace, freely bestowed, and even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ, a word of His coming home to the heart, brings healing to head and heart, conscience and affection, for it searches into the innermost nature. We have asked the Lord to lay His hand upon you, to give wisdom to those who care for your body, and to grant relief according to His perfect will, remembering that natural disease may be instrumentally healed by men, but the virtue and power belong to God.

We have also prayed for the deeper healing which you have rightly sought, for salvation, for deliverance from covetousness and from comparing yourself with others, and for grace to hear His voice. All spiritual disease receives its deathblow when sin is forgiven, for pardon and healing are one in Christ. When Jesus healed the palsied man He said first, Thy sins be forgiven thee, going to the very root of the disease. The heart that is fat and heavy, with ears dull and eyes shut, cannot perceive the presence of God, and it goes from one sin to another because it has not a heart to perceive nor ears to hear. What you ask, to hear His voice and to be kept from envying, is a prayer for a new heart. And God has promised, A new heart also will I give you, and a right spirit will I put within you. Oh that the Holy Spirit may now create in you that new heart and bestow spiritual eyes and ears, that you may perceive the Lord, feel His operations, and be kept from loving idols. A broken and contrite heart on account of sin is that which God peculiarly delights to heal, and He alone can bind it up aright.

For your emotional healing and for the one suffering with dementia, we have entreated the Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. He knows the sorrow of desertion and disappointment, the weariness of a long affliction, and He sees you with a mind deeply sympathetic and a heart quick to relieve. Bring your bleeding heart to His bleeding heart, and lie before Jesus as you are, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing from His pardoning hand.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this afflicted one. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, and give a new heart that loves Thee above all. Lay Thy healing hand upon the body, upon the heart and its valve, upon the swelling and fluid, upon the blood and its sugar, upon the teeth and inward parts, and grant steadiness where there is instability. Remember those who suffer with dementia and diabetes, and let Thy leaves be medicine to them. Your urgent cry has been heard and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord Jesus Christ for you and those you love.

We bring before God the severe fluid retention and edema, the need for healing of the heart and heart valve, the instability of insulin and blood sugar, diabetes insipidus and insulin resistance, dehydration, metabolic acidosis, and the severe problems with teeth. We ask the Lord, who is the true physician and who willingly draws near to the sick to bring healing, to have mercy and to touch each body with His healing hand according to His wisdom and will. We also lift up the need for healing from dementia and for emotional healing, asking God to bring peace, clarity and comfort.

We also pray for salvation for you and your loved ones, knowing that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His grace and through faith in Him. May each heart turn fully to Him and rest in His mercy.

We hear your honest confession about struggling with covetousness and comparing yourself to others, and your desire to hear His voice. God sees the heart and hears prayer offered even in quiet thought, not only with the mouth but with heedfulness in the heart, whether at home or as you walk through the day. As you seek Him, keep listening in His Word and in prayer, for His Word is living and active and discerns the thoughts of the heart. He invites us to take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, for He is gentle and lowly in heart, and His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Your prayer has been received and taken seriously before the Lord, with all the heavy burdens you mentioned for healing of the body, the heart, and the inner life.

The desire you expressed to be freed from covetousness and from comparing yourself to others, and to hear the voice of the Lord more clearly, is itself evidence of God working within you. Scripture says that it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. He places His desires in the heart so that your delight becomes to do His will. That yearning to seek Him and to walk free from envy is not from yourself alone, it is God drawing your heart toward Himself, and He will also give you the strength to walk in it as you look to Him.

God looks at the heart more than at outward appearances. People see actions, but the Lord sees the motives and the longings inside. What He desires is a heart that seeks Him fully, not with half measures. When the heart is turned toward Him with sincerity, even though the flesh is weak, He knows and He receives that sincere seeking. The Scripture invites us to pray, search me, O God, and know my heart, and to ask Him to guard the heart with all diligence, because from it flow the issues of life. He promises to give a new heart and to do an inward work that we cannot do for ourselves, to incline the heart toward His testimonies rather than toward covetousness, and to create a clean and pure heart. Jesus said blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. As you ask Him to cleanse your heart and to help you hear Him, He is faithful to answer that whole hearted seeking and to forgive and restore.

For your physical needs, we bring them to the Lord who is compassionate and able to do what we cannot do for ourselves. We ask Him to touch the severe fluid retention and swelling, to heal the heart and the valve that needs restoration, to bring stability to insulin and blood sugar, to heal the metabolic acidosis, the dehydration, the diabetes and insulin resistance, and the problems with your teeth. We also lift up the loved ones you mentioned who need healing from dementia and other infirmities. The Lord knows each body and each need intimately, and nothing is hidden from Him.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You and ask for Your mercy and healing power. Touch each area of sickness that has been named, the heart, the swelling, the blood sugar and insulin instability, the metabolic imbalance, the teeth, and bring Your restoring life. Lay Your hand upon those suffering with dementia and bring comfort and healing according to Your will. Above all, we ask for salvation and for Your saving work to be made clear to every heart that does not yet know You, for there is salvation in Jesus alone.
