We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear and hears every cry. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the Comforter in times of trouble, and the Provider in every need. We stand in the gap for this family, believing that nothing is too hard for You, and we ask for Your healing touch, Your sustaining grace, and Your miraculous provision.
Lord, we first bring before You the son who is struggling with alcoholism, a bondage that has gripped his life and brought pain to his body and soul. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus, for we know that "no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). Father, break the chains of this addiction, cleanse his body from the poison of alcohol, and restore his mind and spirit. Give him the strength to turn away from this sin and to seek help and accountability. Surround him with godly men who will walk with him in recovery, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind him daily that he is not defined by his struggles but by the love of Christ, who came to set the captives free.
We also pray for his physical ailments—psoriasis, depression, and stomach problems. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Touch his skin and bring relief from the psoriasis, for "by Your stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Lift the heavy weight of depression from his heart, for You have promised, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Settle his stomach and restore his health, for You are the One who "forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3). Fill him with hope, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose as he walks in Your ways.
Father, we lift up the mother who is battling breast cancer. We declare that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we pray for complete healing and restoration. Strengthen her in body, mind, and spirit, and give her the endurance to face each day with faith. Surround her with skilled and compassionate medical professionals, and guide every treatment decision. We stand on Your promise that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). Give her peace that transcends understanding and remind her that You are with her in every moment, even in the valley of the shadow of death.
For the daughter with Down syndrome, we ask for Your special grace and protection. Lord, You have fearfully and wonderfully made her, and we know that she is a precious gift to her family. Give her parents the wisdom, patience, and strength to care for her with love and joy. Provide opportunities for her to thrive, grow, and experience the fullness of life that You intend for her. Surround her with kindness, inclusion, and support in her community, and let her life be a testimony to Your grace.
Father, we also lift up the financial difficulties this family is facing. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings. Meet every need according to Your riches in glory, for You have promised, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Provide opportunities for employment, unexpected blessings, and generosity from others. Give this family wisdom in managing their resources and faith to trust in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
Lord, we pray for unity and strength within this family. In the midst of so many trials, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and divided. Bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken, and let Your peace reign in their home. Remind them that they are not alone, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Help them to lean on one another and to find comfort in Your Word and in the fellowship of believers.
Father, we ask that You draw this family closer to You. If there is anyone in this family who does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that You would open their hearts to receive the gift of salvation. For "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Let them experience the love of Christ in a personal and transformative way, and let their lives be a testimony to Your grace and power.
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand against every attack of the enemy. We rebuke fear, doubt, despair, and every spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus. We declare healing, restoration, provision, and breakthrough over this family. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
