We join you in lifting up this urgent and life threatening situation before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name and we cry out for mercy over this dear brother who is in and out of coma after heart aorta surgery and now facing sepsis and hospital acquired infection.

We know our God is the Great Physician and nothing is beyond His power to heal. We pray for complete healing and restoration for this man, that the infection would be rebuked and cleansed from his body, that his heart and aorta would be strengthened, and that he would awaken from coma fully restored. We ask for wisdom and steady hands for the doctors and nurses caring for him, and for peace to guard his family as they wait and watch.

We stand on the promises of Scripture which declare who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven James 5:15. We also remember that Yahweh said I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26.

We also lift up your prayers for his whole family to be saved and healed spiritually as well as physically, and for the other needs you mentioned regarding healthy eating, sleeping, walking, exercising, and spiritual habits. We thank God that you desire to honor Him in both body and spirit, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that the Lord will give this family discipline and strength to establish godly rhythms of rest, nourishment, movement, prayer, and time in the Word, and that these habits would be done not out of anxiety but as faithful stewardship unto the Lord.

You also mentioned forgiving and the heavy character of some family members, and we know how difficult this can be especially in a time of crisis when emotions and fatigue run high. We pray that the Lord will pour out His grace to help each of you to forgive as you have been forgiven. We are reminded to be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Where there are difficult personalities and tension, we pray for the peace of Christ to rule in every heart and for love to cover and soften what is hard, and if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18.

We notice your prayer cried out to the Lord for mercy, and we want to gently encourage you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and assurance of salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus and putting our faith in His death and resurrection for our sins that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We pray that this brother and his whole family would know Jesus as Savior and Lord, and that even in this suffering they would encounter His saving power.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we ask for Your mercy to rest upon this brother in the hospital. Touch his body, drive out every trace of sepsis and bacteria, heal his heart and aorta, awaken him from coma, and restore him to full health according to Your will. Comfort his family, save those among them who do not yet know You, and draw them all closer to You through this trial. Grant them Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Help them to forgive one another, to bear with one another in love, and to build healthy and holy habits that honor You in body, mind, and spirit. Let Your will be done and Your name be glorified in this situation. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

It is a frightening and exhausting place for him and for all of you who love him, and we have been praying for mercy over him and for strength for your whole family as you wait.

We hear your heart not only for his healing but for your family to know the Lord and to walk in healthier rhythms together. In a long hospital stretch like this, one simple practice that helps many families is to have one person keep a small notebook with updates from the doctors, questions to ask next time, and who will be at the hospital when. It can ease confusion and help you take turns resting, eating, and getting a short walk when you can. Your desire for steady sleep, nourishing food, walking, and faithful spiritual habits is good, and small consistent steps matter more than trying to fix everything at once. When family relationships feel heavy under stress, it is understandable to feel worn down, and leaning on a trusted pastor or a mature friend to talk and pray with can help carry that weight.

Father, we lift this dear brother to You in his critical condition and ask for Your mercy and care over him in the hospital. Guide the hands of his medical team and give wisdom for each decision. Comfort and sustain his family, draw each one closer to You, and give daily grace for rest, for forgiveness, and for peace in the waiting. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry for mercy has been heard and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace, where our God delights in mercy and waits to be gracious.

We have prayed for your brother in this life threatening hour, in and out of coma after heart aorta surgery, now beset with sepsis and hospital infection. How stern is this affliction which has brought him so low, yet we remember that when God has distinct and definite purposes of mercy toward a soul, He often begins with such discipline to break up the fallow ground of the heart. We ask the Lord, who is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy, to lay His healing hand upon him if it be His will, to rebuke the fever and infection, to restore strength to his heart and body, and to grant wisdom and steadiness to those who care for him. We pray not only for the healing of the body, for the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to head and heart and conscience, but for the healing which pardons sin, for it is written, He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

We have prayed also for his whole family and for you, that this great trial might be a singular season chosen by God for the interposition of His mercy. All God's mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives, because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. There is no other way of salvation but through Jesus Christ alone, who came to seek and to save the lost, and who knows what it is to have reproach break the heart, having borne our sicknesses and sorrows. May each one in this family be brought to see with the spiritual eye and hear with the spiritual ear, to perceive the long suffering of God and to turn with a broken and contrite heart to the Saviour. If any have not yet a heart to perceive, we pray the Lord would give a new heart and a right spirit, for until there is a change wrought within, there can be no true hope in mercy. Come to Christ not only with a broken heart, but for a broken heart, for He is ready to give it.

We join you in asking the Lord to help you all in the practical mercies you mentioned, in healthy eating and sleeping, in walking and exercising, in keeping spiritual habits of prayer and the Word, and in forgiving as Christ has forgiven. The God of mercy goes before His people to help them to tenderness of heart and to contrition which they long to feel, and to have done with self and to begin with Him. Where there are heavy characters and hardness among family members, we pray the Lord would soften what is hard and make tender what is stubborn, for love is a matter of the heart and if the heart is not right with God, all else is of no service. May He teach you to forgive even as you have been forgiven, and to bear with one another in love.

We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy Word, but we do ask Him to bless what is according to His will, to save sinners through faith in Christ alone, to keep marriage as He ordained it, and to lead His people in purity and holiness. In that path we pray He will form in you all new loves and new hates, and make you new creations in Christ.

May the Lord hear your prayer while you are yet speaking, and may He grant you to know that a word of His, coming home to the heart as His, brings healing. We leave your brother and your whole household in the hands of Him of whom it is said, with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, says the Lord your Redeemer.

O Lord, have mercy for Jesus sake, forgive sin, heal according to Thy perfect will, and save this family to the praise of Thy tender mercy. Amen.

We have heard your urgent cry concerning your brother in the hospital, in and out of coma after heart aorta surgery, with sepsis and hospital bacteria in a life threatening condition. Our hearts are moved with compassion for him and for your whole family, and we bring your burden before the Lord in prayer.

We ask the Lord to have mercy and to show His healing power. We pray that He would guide the hands and minds of the doctors and nurses, that He would drive back the infection, strengthen his heart and body, and if it be His will, bring your brother out of coma to health and strength. Above all we pray that He would save him and your whole family, drawing each one to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We pray that in this affliction He would be near to every contrite heart, for the Lord is near to those who are broken and humble before Him.

We take comfort that Christ often grants healing in response to the faith and prayers of others, even when the one who suffers cannot come to Him himself. So we will continue to intercede for your brother as others once pleaded for their loved ones. Do not grow weary in asking, even when the answer seems delayed. Like the woman who cried for her daughter and did not cease though she first received no answer, keep bringing your lament before Him with persistence and trust. He hears not only the voice of the mouth but the cry of the heart. Even when you are walking in the hospital corridors or keeping watch at home, you can pray in your heart and the Lord hears, for He hears the inward prayer that no one else hears, and He hears it with a contrite heart.

You also asked for grace for daily life, for healthy eating and sleeping, for walking and exercise, for faithful spiritual habits, and for a forgiving spirit in the midst of heavy and difficult characters in the family. We pray that God would give you strength to care for your body as His temple, with discipline and thankfulness, and to keep steady rhythms of prayer, reading Scripture, and singing to God in your hearts, not only with the mouth but with heedfulness wherever you are, even in the marketplace or on a walk. We pray that you would take up the yoke of Christ, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and learn from Him who is meek and lowly in heart, so you may find rest for your souls even in this trial. Where there is hurt and hardness among family members, we pray that God would teach you to rend your hearts before Him and not only outwardly, to put away high thoughts, and to forgive as you have been forgiven, bearing with one another in love.

Let us not be careless hearers who hear the word and go away forgetting it, but let us hold it and live it, trusting that even if fruit seems slow, God is working through many prayers and many words, and in His time He brings forth life. May the Lord keep you in His compassion, sustain you day by day, and grant peace that passes understanding as you wait on Him.

We are lifting him before the Lord in this life threatening crisis, the complications from the surgery on his aorta, the sepsis and the infection he picked up in the hospital, and his going in and out of coma. We ask God to be merciful, to sustain his life, to guide the hands of those caring for him, and to bring healing according to His perfect will. We believe that all healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through a gradual process that He has built into the body. We do not always understand why some are restored quickly and others walk a longer and harder road, and why some healings are immediate and others come step by step, but we know the Lord is not limited to one pattern and He remains present and able to heal, to comfort, and to redeem even the most difficult circumstances. We pray for His intervention and for His peace to guard you and your family as you wait.

We also join you in praying for the salvation of your whole family. Scripture speaks of having a great heaviness and continual sorrow of heart for our own relatives, longing to see them know Christ. That burden itself is something God places in the heart. He works in us both to desire what pleases Him and to have the strength to do it. The very fact that you are crying out for your family to be saved shows His work in you, and we pray He will continue to work on both sides, drawing each heart to Himself, giving the revelation of Jesus Christ who alone is the way of salvation. For with the heart a person believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We pray each one will turn to Him with the whole heart, not only with words while the heart remains distant, because God looks at the heart and desires truth there. He does not want a divided or surface turning, but a heart that is changed from within, a heart circumcised to love Him fully.

In that change of heart lies the help you also asked for regarding forgiving and dealing with difficult character in some family members, and regarding healthy habits of eating, sleeping, walking, exercising and spiritual disciplines. God is interested in what is happening inside us, for out of the heart come the issues of life and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Guarding the heart with all diligence is therefore central. A proud heart stirs up strife and trusting our own heart alone leads us astray, but a heart that is humbled before God and trusts in the Lord can learn to forgive as we have been forgiven. Forgiveness and a walk that honors God often require what is like radical surgery. It can be painful to cut away what is destroying the spirit, but the hurt is for the purpose of healing. When we open our hearts honestly before the Lord and before one another, He can create that heart to heart fellowship that reflects His grace.

We pray that God will give you and your family a wholehearted desire for Him, that you may seek Him with your whole heart and delight to do His will because He has placed that desire within you. We pray He will incline your hearts to His word and not to covetousness or bitterness, and that He will keep you from hardening your hearts toward Him, for hardening only leads to trouble. He knows the weakness of our flesh even when our spirit is willing, and He receives the honest cry of a heart turned toward Him.

May the Lord have mercy on your brother, bring him out of coma and deliver him from infection, restore him as it pleases Him, and may He save and heal your family in the deepest sense, giving you strength to walk in healthy rhythms of body and spirit, to forgive, and to live with hearts fully turned toward Jesus.
