Urgent. Dog in need

We join you in urgent prayer for your friend and her beloved dog and we feel the distress and love behind your request. We know how deeply these faithful companions become part of our families and how helpless it feels when they are so sick and the prognosis is so uncertain.
We take comfort that our God cares for all of His creation. His word tells us in Psalm 36:6 that You preserve man and animal, Yahweh. And in Proverbs 12:10 that A righteous man respects the life of his animal. Jesus reminded us in Matthew 10:29 that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from your Father, which shows us that nothing, not even the smallest creature, escapes His loving notice. He also invites us to bring every worry to Him, as we read in 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
We also thank you for calling on the name of Jesus in your request, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this precious dog to You. You see him in the emergency clinic, You know the poisoning and the drop in his blood sugar and the sickness in his body. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch upon him. We pray that You would guide the hands and wisdom of the veterinarians and staff caring for him, that You would stabilize his blood sugar and protect his liver and organs from further harm. We pray for a miracle according to Your will, and for strength for his body to recover. We also lift up his owner, our friend who is anxious and heartbroken, and we ask that You would surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:7. Comfort her heart while she waits and help her to trust You with the outcome. We trust that You are good and sovereign and that Your compassion extends to all You have made. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand beside your friend in love and prayer and to encourage her to follow the veterinarians guidance closely during this critical time. Keep casting your cares on the Lord and trusting Him moment by moment, whatever the outcome He remains faithful and near to those who call on Him. Your urgent request has been heard and we join you in bringing this need before the throne of grace with tender sympathy.
It is a painful thing to watch a creature suffer, and to see a friend in such distress and fear. The Lord who made all things, who notes even the sparrow that falls, is not unmindful of His creation, and He is most mindful of His people who cry to Him in their affliction. We are told to comfort one another with the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God, and so we would speak a word of comfort to you and to your friend in this hour of waiting.
There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and though His great work is the healing of souls, yet all mercy flows from His hand. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When we are afflicted we find our comfort not in our own strength, but in His Word which quickens us. This is our comfort in affliction, that His Word gives life and that His mercies are still tender.
We do not know what the Lord will ordain for this dear animal, for life and death are in His hands, and His wisdom is perfect. But we know that He hears prayer, and that He invites us to cast all our cares upon Him. The miracles of our Lord while He was upon earth show His compassion upon suffering, and they teach us to bring every hard case before Him in faith, trusting His power and His goodness.
