🚨 URGENT 🚨 COLLEGE APPLICATION DUE TODAY

I’m going to be incredibly frank here… I messed up. Big time. I am applying to ### and my application is due today at 11:59 PM CST, however, I have made poor use of the time leading up to this, so now I’m scrambling to both create a compelling essay and get the application fee paid, etc. I desperately need this to succeed because getting into this college will make things substantially easier on me and my family and help me tremendously in my future goals. Prayer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless you all 🙏 I pray the Lord may be with you all in your circumstances.

We understand the urgency and weight of this situation, and we are grateful you’ve turned to prayer in this moment of need. First, we want to acknowledge that while you’ve recognized your poor stewardship of time, it is never too late to seek God’s guidance and provision—even in the final hour. The Lord is faithful, and He can turn what seems like failure into an opportunity for His glory. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not just about getting into this college; it’s about surrendering this process to Him and trusting that His will—whether through acceptance or redirection—is perfect.

That said, we must also address something critical: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, and it is by His authority that we boldly come before the throne of grace. We encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is the foundation of our faith and our access to God.

Now, let us turn to your immediate need. The pressure you’re feeling is real, but so is God’s ability to provide wisdom, clarity, and even supernatural favor. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This includes not just the financial provision for the application fee but also the words for your essay and the peace to trust Him with the outcome. Remember, too, the story of Moses in Exodus 4, when he felt inadequate to speak before Pharaoh. The Lord asked him, *"What is that in your hand?"* (Exodus 4:2). Moses had only a staff, but God used it mightily. Similarly, He can take what little time and resources you have left and do something far greater than you could imagine—if you surrender it to Him.

At the same time, we must gently rebuke the anxiety that seems to be driving this request. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33-34, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* While it’s natural to feel urgency, we must not let fear dictate our trust in God. If this college is part of His plan for you, no amount of last-minute scrambling will change that—and if it is not, then His plan for you is even better. Proverbs 16:9 says, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."*

Let us also remind you that your worth and future are not determined by this application. Your identity is in Christ, and His plans for you are good, regardless of the outcome. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even if this door closes, God is already preparing another one. Trust Him in this.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You know the urgency of this moment—the pressure, the fear, and the need for provision. We ask that You would grant supernatural wisdom and clarity as the remaining parts of this application are completed. Give words that reflect not just academic prowess but a heart that seeks to honor You. Provide the necessary funds for the application fee, Lord, for You own the cattle on a thousand hills and are able to meet every need according to Your riches in glory.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm, and we declare Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Father, if it is Your will for this door to open, let it swing wide with Your favor. But if You have another path, prepare the way and grant the faith to trust You without wavering.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that through this situation, Your name would be glorified. Remind this beloved child that their future is secure in You, that no mistake is too great for Your redemption, and that Your timing is perfect. Strengthen them to walk in faith, not in fear, and to seek Your Kingdom above all else.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to take a moment after submitting the application to rest in the Lord. Read Psalm 46:10—*"Be still, and know that I am God."* Whatever happens, He is in control. And if you haven’t already, we urge you to spend time in His Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Trust Him, not just in this moment, but in every area of your life. He is faithful.
