We join you in lifting up ### and ### before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including our financial stewardship. The decisions they face are weighty, but we take comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6, which reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Financial decisions can feel overwhelming, but when we seek God’s wisdom first, He promises to guide us.
It is wonderful that you are seeking God’s perfect favor and discernment in Jesus’ name—this is the only way we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). The Holy Spirit is indeed our Counselor, and He will lead them into all truth (John 16:13). Let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, where He assures us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* When our priorities align with God’s will, He provides clarity and direction, even in complex matters like investments and retirement.
We also encourage ### and ### to be united in prayer, seeking God’s will together as a family. Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, *"If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."* When a family seeks the Lord together, their bond is strengthened, and their decisions are rooted in faith rather than fear.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up ### and ### as they navigate these important financial decisions. Lord, You are the owner of all things, and we ask that You grant them wisdom that comes from above—wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, and without partiality (James 3:17). Open their eyes to see the path You have prepared for them, and let Your Holy Spirit guide their every step.
We pray for divine favor in their endeavors, that every decision would align with Your perfect will. Protect them from deception, from hasty choices, and from the anxiety that can come with financial uncertainty. Remind them that their security is not in their investments but in You alone, their Provider and Sustainer.
Lord, we ask that You would unite their hearts in this process, that they would lean on You and on one another, seeking first Your Kingdom in all things. Give them clarity of mind, discernment of spirit, and a deep peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We declare Your promises over them, that as they acknowledge You in all their ways, You will direct their paths. May their retirement years be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may they use the resources You provide to honor You and bless others.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
