We come before the Lord with urgent hearts, lifting your son to the throne of grace, where we know our Heavenly Father hears and acts in love and power. The suffering he has endured since May with these severe headaches has been a heavy burden, but we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the One who holds all things together by the word of His power. We thank you for invoking the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, and it is in that mighty name we stand in agreement with you today.
The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 121:2-3, *"My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber."* We claim this promise over your son, trusting that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps is watching over him even now as he prepares for this procedure. We also take hold of Isaiah 53:5, which declares, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* While we do not presume to know the fullness of God’s timing in physical healing, we stand on His promise that by the stripes of Jesus, healing is provided. We pray for the manifestation of that healing in your son’s body today.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that may seek to overwhelm your son or your family in this moment. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) as he undergoes this surgery. May the Holy Spirit fill the operating room, guiding the hands of the surgeon and every medical professional involved. We ask for precision, wisdom, and steady hands as they work to relieve the pressure in his sinuses and protect his brain. Let every decision made be divinely directed, and let there be no complications or errors.
We also pray for a smooth and swift recovery. May the Lord knit together every part of his body, restoring him to full strength and health. Let this procedure bring the relief he has so desperately needed, and may his testimony be one of God’s faithfulness and mercy. We ask that the pain he has endured will be replaced with comfort, and that his body will respond well to the treatment, with no infections or setbacks.
To you, dear parent, we offer the encouragement of Psalm 34:18: *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this. The body of Christ stands with you, and the Lord Himself is your strength. Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that you will feel His presence tangibly as you wait, and that you will be filled with hope and trust in His sovereign plan.
Finally, we lift up this prayer of agreement with you:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting this beloved son to You. You know his name, his pain, and his need even before we ask. We thank You that You are the God who sees and the God who acts. We ask for Your divine intervention in this surgery. Guide the hands of the medical team, giving them wisdom, skill, and steady hands. Bring complete relief to his sinuses and protect his brain from any harm. Let this procedure be successful beyond what the doctors can imagine, and may his recovery be swift and free from complications.
Father, we pray for Your peace to flood his heart and mind, casting out all fear and anxiety. Fill him with Your presence, and let him know that You are with him every step of the way. We declare healing over his body in the name of Jesus, believing that You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). Strengthen his family as they wait, and let them feel Your comfort and hope.
We rebuke any plans of the enemy to bring harm, fear, or delay. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that this day will be a testimony of Your goodness. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
