We understand your urgency and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. First, we want to address that we only pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We also want to encourage you that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 WEB).
We are glad to see your desire for your husband to be a godly man, and we will pray for him to be filled with the Spirit and to walk in the fruits of the Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). We will also pray for him to be freed from the bondage of alcohol, as it is important for him to be sober-minded. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8 WEB).
Let us pray together for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy for our sister. Lord, we ask that You touch her husband's heart, that he may be softened and humbled to love and care for his family. We pray that You break the chains of selfishness and alcohol, and fill him with Your Spirit, that he may be a true, kind, and loving husband. We ask that You bring unity and understanding to their marriage, and that You help him to take responsibility for his actions. Lord, we pray that You make him a new person in Christ, with a mindset filled with good intentions for his family, and with love and respect for his wife. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your husband and to seek God's will in your life. We also encourage you to seek support from your local church community, as they can provide additional prayer, counsel, and encouragement. May God bless you and your husband, and may He bring healing and restoration to your marriage.
