Upset

We have heard your request and we are bringing you before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand that feeling very upset and wanting to be left alone for a day is a deeply human experience, and we want to honor your need for quiet and space while also pointing you to the One who can bring true peace to your heart.

The Lord sees when we are overwhelmed and He invites us to find rest in Him even when we need distance from others. The psalmist reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Jesus Himself calls to us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We pray that today, in your solitude, you would feel His nearness and not just the absence of people.

We also hear your desire for others to respect your boundaries today, and we pray that the Lord will grant you that quiet and that those around you will give you gracious space to rest and collect yourself. At the same time we gently encourage you not to remain isolated in your upset for too long. God often uses quiet time with Him to restore us, but He also created us for fellowship and for bearing one another's burdens. If this upset continues, we encourage you to seek a trusted mature believer or pastor to talk and pray with.

We want to share that we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up out of love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and peace with Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because of His death and resurrection that we can cast all our cares on Him and be heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, to confess your sins and believe in Him, and to come to God through His name.

We are praying for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. You know the reasons for this upset that weigh heavy today. We ask that You would grant the quiet that is being sought, that You would move on the hearts of others to give gracious space and leave this one alone today as requested. Lord, we pray that in that quiet You would minister Your perfect peace. We pray that You would help this one to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to let requests be made known to You, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that You would help this one to be casting all worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7. Bring comfort, bring clarity, bring rest to the soul, and draw this heart close to Jesus. If there is any hurt, anger, or disappointment that needs healing, we ask for Your healing and wisdom. Lead this one to seek You first and to know Your love more deeply. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to spend this time you have sought in prayer and in the Word, pouring out your heart honestly before God, and to allow Him to restore you. We are continuing to pray for your peace and for the Lord to be your comfort today.

We hear you on this. Being upset and just wanting quiet today is completely understandable, and it is okay to need that space.

We think of how healthy it is to have a clear sense of what we need to protect for a little while, our time, our energy, our peace of mind. Being able to say yes and no freely is part of staying connected to others without losing ourselves. And a chosen time of solitude is not the same as loneliness, it can be a chance to breathe, get perspective, and simply rest with the Lord without pressure from others.

If it would help today, you might keep it simple. Let one trusted person know you need a quiet day and will be in touch tomorrow, then allow yourself to step back from messages, calls, or visits for a few hours. Find a calm spot if you can, and give yourself permission not to explain or manage everyone else today.

Father, we bring this friend to You right now. You see the upset and the reasons behind it. We ask for quiet around them today, for protection over their heart, and for Your gentle peace to settle in. Give them rest and wisdom for what comes next. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Sorry you are going through this, I felt the same way at times. I am praying for this in Jesus name, amen. I am here if you need to talk more!

Your request has been heard and we understand the heaviness that makes you desire quiet today. There are seasons when the soul is upset and wearied, and the kindest mercy is to be allowed a little space to breathe.

Holy Scripture commends such solitude in the time of great trouble, Let him sit alone. It is not wrong to seek to sit alone for a while, to be silent before the Lord, to put your mouth in the dust and hold your tongue before Him. In that stillness you may better see your case as it is in the sight of God, and find that He draws near to those who wait upon Him in quietness and submission.

Yet we would pray for more for you than only that others might leave you alone. The peace that truly rests the heart is not only outward quiet, but inward peace with God. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and He Himself has said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. The Lord will keep in perfect peace, peace, peace, him whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him.

We pray that the Lord in His kindness will grant you the quiet you seek today, that He will keep intrusions from troubling you, and that in your solitude He will meet with you. May He lift the weight of your upset, calm your thoughts, renew your strength, and give you that peace of God which passes all understanding through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace. May you find that even with sorrows surging round, to do the will of Jesus and to rest in His keeping is rest indeed.

We are remembering you in prayer, asking the God of peace to grant you stillness today and a deeper, lasting peace in Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we are praying for you in this upset and difficult time.

It is right and good at times to seek quiet, and Scripture shows us that the Lord Himself often withdrew from the crowds and went up into a mountain alone to pray. He did this to teach us that solitude is fitting for wisdom and prayer, and that the one who would draw near to God needs times and places free from disturbance and confusion. Wanting to be left alone for a day so you can find rest is not wrong.

We are asking God to grant you that quiet today, that He would keep others from troubling you and give you space to breathe and to rest in His presence. We are also praying for the peace that Christ Himself gives, the peace that guards the heart and mind. When the heart is troubled within, even outward quiet is not enough, so we ask that God would calm what has upset you, comfort you, and bring stillness to your thoughts.

May the God of peace be with you today, quiet your heart, and restore your strength. We pray that you will sense His nearness in this solitude and that His grace will sustain you.

We will continue to lift you up before the Lord.

Thank you for sharing honestly about how upset you feel and about wanting space today. I have prayed for you, and I continue to pray that God will give you quiet and rest, and that those around you will be considerate and give you the room you need.

I also want to pray for a deeper kind of rest for your heart. Scripture speaks of two kinds of peace that belong together. First there is peace with God, which only comes through Jesus Christ and what He did for us when He shed His blood to forgive our sins. When we are no longer at war with God, the war inside us can finally begin to end. Then there is the peace of God, that steady inner calm that guards our hearts even when the world around us is full of chaos and pressure.

That peace is described as perfect and complete, and as a peace that goes beyond human understanding. The world cannot give it and cannot fully understand it. Jesus Himself said that He leaves His peace with us and gives His peace to us, not in the way the world gives. It is His own peace placed within us.

The promise is that God will keep in perfect peace the person whose mind remains fixed on Him, because that person is trusting Him. When our thoughts turn toward Him and stay on Him, His peace begins to fill our hearts. It is the quiet confidence that He is still on the throne, that He is ruling over our lives, and that He will take care of what concerns us.

There are times when our souls feel cast down and restless inside, and often that happens when for a moment we forget that God has not moved from His throne. Hope in Him brings a different result, which is joy and peace as we believe what He has said in His Word. That joy and peace do not come from chasing a feeling, but from trusting His Word and His character. Feelings will rise and fall, but His Word remains steady.

So today I am praying not only that people will respect your need for quiet, but that as you turn your mind toward the Lord and trust Him, you will experience His calm keeping your heart and mind. May He lift the weight of being upset and replace inner turmoil with His rest, and may you know that you are no longer fighting alone but are kept by Him.

Father, I bring this dear one before You who feels upset and weary and wants to be left alone. Thank You that You offer peace through Jesus Christ. I ask that You grant respectful space from others today, and more than that, grant perfect peace within. Fix their thoughts on You, remind them that You are on the throne and that You care for them, and fill their heart with the peace that passes understanding. Bring healing and rest in Jesus name. Amen.
