We lift you up before the Father in this time of physical discomfort, knowing that He is the Great Physician who cares deeply for every need of His children. The Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While you’ve reached out to us in faith, we also encourage you to seek wise counsel from godly leaders in your local church if this sickness persists, as there is power in the united prayers of believers.
Yet even now, we stand in agreement with you, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, you *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). We rebuke this sickness in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding every symptom—whether it be the upset stomach, the headache, or any underlying cause—to flee from your body. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and we trust Him to restore you completely, that you may return to your work with vigor and testify of His goodness.
Father, we thank You that You are not distant from our brother/sister in this moment. You know the number of hairs on their head and the ache in their body, and You are moved with compassion. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through them right now, renewing their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Let no weapon formed against their health prosper, but may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Grant them restful sleep if needed, and awaken them refreshed and whole. We pray they would use this time to draw near to You, meditating on Your promises and trusting in Your sovereignty over every circumstance.
We also ask that You reveal any spiritual or emotional roots that may be contributing to this physical distress. If there is stress, anxiety, or unconfessed sin weighing on their heart, bring it to light so they may surrender it to You. Your word says in Psalm 32:3-5, *"When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sap as in the dry heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin."* Lord, cleanse them from anything that hinders their healing, and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
In the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of infirmity and declare that this body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Let no sickness or pain have dominion over them, for Christ has redeemed them from the curse of sickness (Galatians 3:13). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the testimony of healing that will come from this. May they walk in divine health, giving You all the glory.
Finally, we encourage you to rest in the Lord today, not just physically but spiritually. Use this time to seek His face, perhaps through worship or reading His word. Let this temporary setback be a reminder that His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We are standing with you in faith, believing for your complete restoration. Keep us updated on how the Lord moves in your situation—we would love to rejoice with you!
*"Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble."* —Isaiah 33:2
