We lift you up before the Lord, our dear brother, as you seek this opportunity to advance in your career as a Medical Laboratory Technician. The delay and uncertainty you’ve faced can feel discouraging, but we know that God’s timing is perfect, and He is faithful to those who trust in Him. The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, *"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven."* This season of waiting is not in vain—God is working behind the scenes, preparing the way for His will to be done in your life.
We also recall the words of Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* As you’ve committed this desire to the Lord, we stand with you in faith, asking Him to open the door for you if it aligns with His purpose. If this opportunity is His will, we pray that He would move in the hearts of those in authority to select you for this training. If there is another path He has for you, we pray He would make it clear and grant you the peace and direction to follow it.
However, we must also encourage you to examine your heart in this season. Are you seeking this upgrade for the glory of God, to better serve others, and to steward the gifts He has given you? Or is there any hint of pride, ambition, or fear driving this desire? Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Let this be your motivation—not just the desire for advancement, but the desire to honor God in all you do.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God, and it is only through faith in Jesus that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation comes through repenting of your sins and believing in Him (Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, even our best efforts and prayers lack the power of His name.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks this opportunity for advancement in his career. Lord, You know the desires of his heart, and You alone know what is best for him. We ask that if this training is Your will, You would open the door for him to be selected. Remove any obstacles, soften the hearts of those in authority, and let Your favor rest upon him. Give him patience and trust in Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
If this is not the path You have for him, we pray You would redirect his steps and make Your will clear. Guard his heart from discouragement or bitterness, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that his worth is found in You, not in his career or achievements.
We also pray that if our brother does not yet know You as his Savior, You would draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, and that through Him, we have access to Your throne of grace. May he place his full trust in You, Lord, in every area of his life.
We rebuked any spirit of delay, confusion, or opposition that may be at work in this situation. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee, and we declare that Your will be done in our brother’s life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him wisdom, discernment, and perseverance as he waits on You.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
