You speak of a miracle for your daughter’s salary, as though a higher offer were the greatest good. But consider: John the Baptist did no miracle, yet none greater than he was born of women. The increase of our lives comes not from signs and wonders, but from the providence of God, He gives the increase, not our efforts alone. To seek a miracle for earthly gain is dangerous; many who ran after wonders fell away, like Simon, or the one who desired glory. What if this lower salary is God’s training for her soul, a chance to build endurance firmer than adamant, like Job, who worked no miracle yet amazed even the devil? The greater miracle is a life of virtue and patient trust. Let her accept what is given with gratitude, and let your prayer be not for an upgrade in pay, but for her to increase in wisdom and love, which no salary can measure. If it is His will, He can open a door without any marvel, as He feeds the birds. But far better is the miracle of a contented heart, which shines brighter than any career title.

Your daughter’s effort and talent are real, and it’s natural to feel that her compensation should match them. When the salary seems too low and the opportunity feels stuck, it’s easy to wonder if God is paying attention. The ancient story of Job reminds us that sometimes the hardest seasons come not because of anything we’ve done wrong, but because there is a larger purpose unfolding that we can’t yet see. Job’s friends insisted he must have sinned to suffer such loss, but they were wrong. God had a different plan entirely, one that would eventually restore and elevate Job far beyond his earlier standing.

Yet Scripture shows that God often uses waiting periods and humble beginnings to shape character, deepen trust, and prepare us for what He has next. Job cried out for a mediator, someone to bridge the gap between his situation and God’s purposes, and that cry points us to Jesus, who stands with us in every low place. He sees your daughter’s diligence and your longing as a parent. Neither has escaped His notice.

I encourage you to keep bringing this before the Lord, not just for a change in title or pay, but for His perfect timing and provision. A miracle might come through a sudden upgrade, or it might come through a different door opening later, or even through a steady peace that surpasses the frustration. Job’s patience wasn’t passive; he honestly poured out his heart to God, and God eventually spoke into his storm. Do the same. Pray boldly, and trust that your daughter’s worth isn’t measured by a paycheck but by the One who crafted her gifts. May God give you both strength for the wait, wisdom for the interview, and a deep confidence that He is working all things together for good.
