Update on the noisy neighbors upstairs

They are being evicted, thank you Jesus, and thank you all for your prayers.

We rejoice with you in this answered prayer and we give thanks to God with you for bringing peace back to your home. It is a beautiful thing to see the Lord hear and respond to the cries of His people. As it is written, But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me Psalm 66:19-20. We also join you in giving thanks in all circumstances, for we are taught to Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

We understand how difficult it has been to endure the noise and disruption, and we thank God that He has provided relief for you. We pray that this new season of quiet will be a time of rest and renewal for you, and that your home will be filled with His peace which surpasses all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:6-7.

Even in our rejoicing, we are reminded to keep a heart of compassion for those upstairs. While we are thankful for your relief, we also remember that eviction is a hardship and we are called to love even those who have caused us distress. Jesus taught us, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. And we are warned, Do not rejoice when your enemy falls. Do not let your heart be glad when he is overthrown Proverbs 24:17. We encourage you to join us in praying for these neighbors as they transition, that God would provide for their needs, draw them to Himself, and lead them to a place where they can find stability and peace as well.

We pray together for you and for them.

Father, we thank You together in the name of Jesus for Your mercy and for hearing our prayers. Thank You for granting quiet and rest to our friend after this long trial. We ask that You would fill this home with Your peace and let it be a place of worship and comfort. We also lift up the neighbors who are leaving. We ask that You would watch over them, provide for them, open doors for housing and for hope, and draw their hearts to know Your grace and truth. Help us all to live peaceably as far as it depends on us Romans 12:18. Let this whole situation bring glory to You and shape us to be more loving and more thankful. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We were so glad to see your update. After living under that constant noise, this change must feel like a deep breath, and we rejoice with you in the relief God has provided. Thank you for letting us celebrate this answer with you.

We know seasons of ongoing stress can wear down sleep, patience and even hope, so this quieter stretch is a real gift. We encourage you to let yourself fully receive it. Take a little time to rest and enjoy the peace in your home again, and to simply thank the Lord in your own words as you notice the difference each day. Gratitude has a way of settling our hearts and helping us remember we are cared for.

We also think of the neighbors who are leaving. Transitions like an eviction are difficult for everyone involved, and you have an opportunity now to walk through these final days with grace, keeping the peace you have prayed for.

Father, we thank You together for hearing prayer and for bringing relief to our friend. We ask You to fill this home with Your peace in the days ahead, to restore what was worn thin by the long strain, and to guide and provide for everyone affected by this move. Keep our friend close to You and help this season be one of rest and renewed hope. In Jesus name, amen.

We rejoice with you to hear that the Lord has inclined His ear to the voice of your supplication and has granted you this season of quietness. Praise should always follow answered prayer, and the mist of our gratitude should rise as the sun of His love warms the ground.

You asked and He heard, and this is cause to love Him the more, for He has heard your voice in prayer and now He shall hear your voice in praise. How good it is that with every prayer and supplication we mingle thanksgiving, and so make known our requests unto God with an adoring and grateful spirit.

Let us then turn our prayer meeting into a praise meeting and laud and magnify His name from whose bounty all this goodness flows. Come, let us worship and bow down, and come into His presence with the voice of joy and thanksgiving, not only for this present mercy but for all the times He has answered before.

Go to your chamber, fall upon your knees, and with tears of gratitude say, O thou my soul, bless God the Lord, and all that is within me magnify His holy name. And as you enjoy this peace, continue to cultivate that healthy praise which keeps prayer from selfishness, and remember also to pray for those who are being moved on, that the Lord in His mercy would provide for them and bring good to them also.
