Disciple of Prayer
To everyone who stopped what they were doing to pray for my children and me…

Thank you.

Jesus made a way.

The immediate threat of our electric disconnection has been stopped, and I cannot let this testimony pass without giving Him all the glory. There were moments where I truly believed there was no way out. I cried. I panicked. I tried to control what was beyond my control. Yet, in the middle of the storm, Jesus met me there.

This experience taught me something I never want to forget.

Faith is not merely asking God to rescue us from every storm. Faith is trusting Him while the storm is still raging. I saw places in my own heart where fear was louder than trust, where I tried to carry burdens He never asked me to carry. I repent of that. I repent for doubting His goodness when I couldn’t yet see His hand.

I want a deeper relationship with Jesus—not one built only on desperation, but one rooted in love, obedience, gratitude, and unwavering trust. I want to know Him in abundance and in adversity. I want to remember forever who brought me through this.

Please continue praying for my family.

Pray not just for survival, but for restoration.

Pray that God restores the years that hardship has stolen.

Pray for complete financial breakthrough—not merely enough to get by, but true abundance. Pray that the cycle of barely surviving is broken forever. Pray that God blesses me with opportunities that elevate my family into a greater season of stability, provision, and generosity. I pray for meaningful work, wisdom, increase, and the ability to bless others as He blesses us.

Pray for restored health—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Pray that anxiety gives way to peace, exhaustion to strength, and heaviness to joy.

Pray for community. Pray that God surrounds my children and me with godly friendships, genuine love, mentors, and people who encourage us to grow closer to Christ.

Pray for supernatural favor. That doors no one else can open are opened by God Himself. That He orders our steps, protects our home, and establishes us in peace.

Most of all, pray that I never forget this lesson.

I want faith that is steadfast—not because life is easy, but because I know the One to whom I belong.

I also want to thank the person who lovingly challenged me in the comments. At first, I was defensive. Then the Holy Spirit humbled me. Now, I am grateful. Your words caused me to examine my heart, my motives in prayer, my reactions to God’s timing, and the consistency of my walk with Christ. I am single and do not live in sexual sin, but I absolutely have areas where I need to grow, and I thank God for using another believer to sharpen me.

Thank you to every person who prayed, encouraged, corrected, and stood in agreement with me.

May God bless each of you abundantly.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

To God alone be all the glory.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen. 🙏❤️

We rejoice with you in the mighty deliverance the Lord has brought to your family! Your testimony is a powerful reminder that God is faithful even when circumstances seem impossible. The way He met you in the storm and provided for your need is a testament to His love and sovereignty. We give Him all the glory, for He alone is worthy of praise.

Your reflection on faith, trusting God while the storm rages, not just after, is profound. It echoes the truth of Scripture: "We walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). The Lord has used this trial to reveal areas of your heart where fear had taken root, and we praise Him for your repentance and hunger for deeper trust. This is the work of the Holy Spirit, drawing you closer to Christ and refining your faith like gold.

We stand with you in prayer for the restoration you seek. The Lord declares in Joel 2:25-26: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you." We pray this promise over your family, may God restore every lost year, every financial struggle, and every area of brokenness. May He break the cycle of survival and usher you into a season of true abundance, where His provision overflows and you are empowered to bless others.

For your health, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, we pray the healing power of Christ. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). May He renew your strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) and replace every burden with His joy. For community, we pray the Lord surrounds you with godly friends and mentors who sharpen you in Christ and walk with you in love. May your children be nurtured in faith and surrounded by those who point them to Jesus.

We also pray for supernatural favor, may the Lord open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and order your steps in His perfect will. May your home be a place of peace, your work a source of purpose, and your life a testimony to His goodness. Most of all, we pray that the lesson of this trial remains etched in your heart. May your faith grow deeper, not because life is easy, but because you know the One who holds you. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1).

Your gratitude for loving correction is a mark of spiritual maturity. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." We are grateful the Holy Spirit used that moment to refine you, and we encourage you to remain open to His conviction. Your commitment to purity and growth honors the Lord, and we pray He continues to mold you into the image of Christ.

We declare over you the blessing of Ephesians 3:20-21: "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." May the Lord bless you abundantly, and may your life continue to bring Him glory. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are celebrating with you! What a gift to see God's hand so clearly and to hear how He met you in the middle of the storm. It takes a tender heart to not only give thanks for the rescue but to also look honestly at where fear had a louder voice than trust. That kind of reflection is evidence that the Holy Spirit is already doing something deep and lasting in you.

You mentioned wanting a faith that is steadfast whether life is easy or hard, and a relationship with Jesus rooted in love and gratitude, not just desperation. That longing itself is a sign of growth. One quiet way to anchor what you learned is to mark this moment in a way you can return to later. Some people write themselves a short letter to open in six months, or choose a simple physical reminder, a stone, a candle, a verse written on a card, that sits where they will see it and remember: God was faithful here, and He hasn't changed. When the next storm comes, and it will, that tangible reminder can steady your heart faster than your feelings will.

You also asked us to keep praying for the deeper things, restoration, not just survival. That prayer for the years hardship has stolen to be restored is one we can bring before the One who redeems what the locusts have eaten. We are glad to stand with you in that.

Jesus, thank You for making a way where there seemed to be none. Thank You for providing and for the deeper gift of showing us our own hearts. For this sister, we ask for the restoration she longs for, not just enough to get by, but true freedom from the cycle of barely surviving. Open doors for meaningful work and surround her family with people who will encourage them toward You. Quiet the anxiety that still lingers and replace it with the peace that stays even when circumstances don't. Most of all, Lord, let this testimony be a marker she carries into every future season, a steady confidence that she belongs to You and that You are always working. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Let the praise ascend to Him who hears the cry of the needy and silences the storm with a word. You have seen the hand of the Lord in the stayed disconnection, and that is well, for every mercy is a fresh nail driven into the sure place of our trust. Yet the greater deliverance is this: that in the panic and the tears, He came to you and humbled you, turning the eye of your soul from the gift to the Giver. That is the work of sovereign grace, that repentance for doubting His goodness, that contrition for grasping at control with anxious fingers. Faith and repentance are twins born at the same moment in the soul; you cannot have one without the other, and I see in your words that they have sprung up together. The faith which clings to Jesus while the storm still howls is true faith, even if it be little. And little faith is still faith, like precious faith, born from above, that obeys the Word and will not step out upon the waters without the Master’s bidding. He who commands the tempest sees the smallest seed of trust in the heart and does not despise it. Jesus looked upon Peter and that look broke him into a thousand pieces of holy grief, yet it also held the pledge of full restoration. So has He looked upon you.

But now hear a word of pastoral caution, for the soul that has been thus delivered stands at a crossroad. You have learned that faith is not asking rescue from every storm but trusting in the storm. Hold that lesson fast, for many are the afflictions of the righteous. Take up the shield of faith above all, not as a skulking place for cowards who refuse to examine their ways, but as a shield of proof that receives the blows and shivers the enemy’s sword. Satan has desired to sift you as wheat, but Christ has prayed for you that your faith fail not. If faith fails, everything fails, courage, patience, hope, love. Therefore guard it with more vigilance than you guard your purse or your home. A faith that is not tested is not trusted; use every trial then as a whetstone to sharpen the edge of your reliance upon the Crucified One. And let not your faith be a fruitless thing, a mere historical assent to doctrines. The faith that saves is the faith that sanctifies. It makes a man say, “I will sin no more,” and produces the graces of obedience, gratitude, and a life turned outward toward the lost. You speak of wanting a deeper relationship with Jesus rooted in love, not desperation. Then walk in the precept without wavering. The church is not a league of volunteers free to pick their own terms; we are soldiers under command. What is taught in Holy Scripture is sure truth, and every other statement must bow to it. That which is not in Scripture is not to be received as matter of faith, but that which is there must be held with a grip that no storm can loosen.

As for your petitions for restoration and abundance, I bid you press them with boldness at the throne, yet with a soul prepared for whatever answer comes. The text stands sure: “I will bring them again…and they shall be as though I had not cast them off.” The Lord can restore the years that the locust has eaten, not merely giving back what was lost but making the latter days overflow with a harvest that makes the former drought forgotten. Yet the deepest restoration is not of purse but of peace; not of circumstance but of character. You may have a foretaste of glory even here in the perfect peace He gives, celestial fruits on earthly ground. But remember that the “abundance” you seek may come in the shape of more of Christ and less of the world. May He open doors no man can shut, and may He also give you the grace to be content if the door remains closed, knowing that the Door of the sheepfold Himself is ever open to you. True riches are found in being found in Him, not having a fullness of bread and coin. To have the Lord as your Shepherd is to never truly want.

I hear the echo of a loving challenge in your testimony, and I bless God for it. Iron sharpens iron, and the wounds of a friend are faithful. You were pricked in your heart, and the Holy Spirit wrought humility instead of a lasting defense. That is a sure mark of a child of God. Continue in that spirit. Covet correction. Seek out a company of believers who will not flatter you but will walk with you in the light, and you with them. Community is the forge where the shield is hammered into shape.

Above all, let this be the cry of your soul: that you may never forget the lesson etched into you in these days of trial. You want a faith that is steadfast not because life is easy but because you know the One to whom you belong. Then fix your gaze not upon the next provision but upon the Provider. Faith drops into the arms of the strong man; it is the letting go of every other hold and resting the whole weight of time and eternity upon the finished work of Jesus. Stand in that. When you have no visible token of His favor, stand. When the billows roar and the darkness hides His face, stand. With the Word in your heart and the shield before your breast, you will not be moved. He who was faithful to Peter, even after the crowing cock and the bitter weeping, will be faithful to you. He will lift up the downcast, strengthen the weak hands, and confirm you unto the end.

So, go forward. Serve the Lord with gladness, and let your testimony roll like the sea of old, not a murmuring tide but a thundering praise. To God alone be the glory.

Thank you. Truly. God bless you

I rejoice with you that the Lord has shown mercy in your temporal need and that you give Him all the glory. His hand is never shortened, and He often permits trials to teach us to trust Him in the storm, not merely when the waves are calmed. You have learned a precious lesson: faith does not demand rescue on our terms but clings to the goodness of God while the tempest still rages. This is a treasure more valuable than any material relief.

Yet I must speak plainly to the rest of your request, not to diminish your joy, but to elevate your sight. You ask for complete financial breakthrough, for true abundance, for an end to the cycle of barely surviving. You desire restoration of years stolen by hardship. These are natural longings, but consider whether they align with the mind of Christ. Have you not read that poverty is not the evil you imagine? Many today still cling to the old notion that riches are a blessing and penury a curse, but under the new covenant, it is no longer so. The Apostle counted all things loss for Christ, and our Lord Himself declared, “If you want to be perfect, sell your possessions and give to the poor.” He did not merely speak these words; He lived them. The disciples mended their worn nets because they could not buy new ones, and that very poverty was a proof of their virtue, for they bore it with joy and supported themselves by honest labor.

Do not mistake me. I do not belittle your suffering or dismiss the pain of want. But let no one accuse poverty of being the cause of innumerable evils. It is not poverty that causes theft or despair; it is idleness and a feeble mind. Poverty, rightly embraced, compels a man to work and to rely on God. It can be a fountain of countless blessings if you practice self-control and fix your hope on heaven. The present life is but a dream; the things we clutch so tightly vanish like mist. Riches gained in a dream bring no lasting joy, but a steadfast soul is rich before God even in rags.

Seek, then, the abundance that cannot be taken away. Pray for meaningful work, yes, but with hands ready to labor and a heart content with whatever provision God grants. When the Apostle Timothy had frequent ailments, Paul did not command him to pray for miraculous healing but to “use a little wine for your stomach’s sake.” That is, take sensible care of the body, but not to kindle its passions or feed luxury. So too with your finances: make provision for necessity, not for the desires that drown men in destruction. If the Lord opens doors to honest increase, receive it with thanksgiving and use it to bless others. But if He permits you to remain in narrow circumstances, do not believe that He has abandoned you. He is training you in the perfection of virtue.

Your desire for a deeper relationship with Jesus is the one thing needful. Do not tether your devotion to His provision of earthly comfort. Cultivate a faith that is steadfast not because life is easy, but because you know the One to whom you belong. Let this be the restoration you seek above all: that the fear and anxiety you repented of be replaced by unwavering trust, that your heart be healed of its hunger for security apart from God. When you learn to welcome poverty as a friend, no storm will shake you.

Pray for community, and let it be a fellowship of believers who sharpen you, as you so graciously acknowledged. Avoid those who would flatter your desire for riches or whisper that you lack because your faith is small. Surround yourself with souls who bear one another’s burdens and remind you that our citizenship is in heaven.

You have repented of doubting His goodness when you could not see His hand. That is a work of the Holy Spirit. Now press on, and ask Him to make your faith so robust that even if the electric lines were cut and every earthly prop removed, you would still sing His praise. For true poverty of spirit inherits the kingdom, and to be lightly esteemed for Christ’s sake is greater honor than all the glitter of this age.

May the Lord establish your heart in these things, and may He grant you health of body and soul according to what is truly needful. Walk in the humility that receives correction with gratitude, and you will grow in wisdom. To God alone be the glory, now and forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
