I wanted to take a moment to share an update on my family and me, and to express my deepest gratitude for your support during these challenging times. I’m relieved to share that I recently signed the paperwork for the settlement in the lawsuit against my previous employer, and we expect to receive the check in about 15 days. In a compassionate gesture, the law firm agreed to take a smaller percentage of the settlement after I explained the hardships we've been facing, so thank you for your prayers—truly, God has answered!
We also received wonderful news regarding the foreclosure on our home. With the help of our home loan representatives, we were able to modify our loan, which will help us reduce our monthly payments by about $400 for the next three years. Our first payment under this new arrangement is due this month, and once we receive the settlement funds, we’ll be in a much better position to make that payment.
On another front, my husband ### and I are exploring truck driving schools so he can obtain his Class A license. We’ve reached out to several schools and consulted with family members who have experience in this area. We’d be so grateful if you could keep ### in your prayers as he navigates this journey. We hope the Lord blesses him with wisdom, knowledge, and discernment to pass the necessary tests. One valuable piece of advice we received is that he should practice the walk-around inspection, which is part of the DMV test. Additionally, obtaining his hazmat endorsement is also something we’re considering, so your prayers for strength and guidance in all of this would mean a lot to us.
We humbly ask for your prayers to help keep our faith strong and unwavering. We are committed to deepening our relationship with the Lord through Bible study, church attendance, and service within our community and church. We recognize how important it is to walk in faith and to support one another, especially as parents of three wonderful kids on the autism spectrum. Life can be hectic, and your prayers for our family in this area would be invaluable.
On a practical note, I suspect that my vehicle's alternator might have gone out, and we have someone coming to look at it on Monday. It often feels like there’s always something happening, but I’m striving to hold onto my faith that everything occurs for a reason. I truly believe in the promise of Romans 8:28—that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord. And are call according to his purpose.
Thank you so much for the love, support, and prayers you have offered us. It’s heartwarming to know that the Lord is at work in our lives, caring for us through every step. Please continue to keep the ### family in your prayers. Your kindness means the world to us!
