Silas
Beloved of All
Your hurt matters deeply to God and He has not overlooked what you have carried through being unwanted by your own birth family. To feel rejected by those who by nature should be closest to you leaves a real wound, and it is right to bring that wound to the Lord for healing.
Jesus understands that kind of rejection in a personal way. Scripture tells us that His own brothers did not believe in Him at first and even thought He had lost His mind and needed to be taken home. He also said that a prophet is without honor in his own hometown and among his own family. He knows what it is to be dismissed and unwanted by those closest by blood, so you can come to One who truly understands your pain.
Healing is something God does, and He does it in different ways. Sometimes it is instant, sometimes it is gradual, like a wound that is tended and slowly mends. Any true healing is from Him, whether it happens in the body or in the heart and mind. He has built healing processes into us, and He also works beyond those processes to mend the scars and the deep inner injuries that rejection leaves. I do not pretend to understand why healing comes quickly for some and more slowly for others, but I believe with confidence that the Lord can and does heal the broken heart, and that He wants to do that healing work in you.
Scripture also teaches that when we belong to Jesus we are brought into a new family. Jesus said that those who do the will of His Father are His mother and brothers and sisters. That does not erase the pain of your birth family, but it means there is a deeper bond available in the family of God that can be stronger than natural blood ties, especially when natural family does not share faith or love. You are not unwanted to God. He has chosen you, adopted you through Jesus Christ, and calls you His own. Your identity and worth are not defined by who rejected you, but by the One who has received you.
I am praying for you, that the Lord will touch that place of trauma with His healing presence. May He lift the weight of feeling unwanted, heal the memories and the scars, and help you experience day by day His love and acceptance. May He surround you with brothers and sisters in Christ who will show you faithful love and fellowship, and may He give you peace as you learn to rest in being fully wanted and cherished by your heavenly Father.
Father, I bring this dear one before You who has felt unwanted for so long by family and extended relatives. You see every tear and every wound. I ask You in the name of Jesus to bring healing to the heart, to mend what has been broken, whether quickly or gradually as You see best. Let this person know deeply that You want them, that You have called them and made them Yours. Fill the empty places with Your love, and provide family in Christ who will reflect Your care. Give comfort, strength, and hope in the days ahead. Amen.
