Unstable jobs

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me, when ever I got a new job it does not last, within a year I will be sacked. I pay my tithes regularly. I am frustrated and confused.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this season of frustration and confusion. It is disheartening to face repeated job loss, especially when you are faithful in tithing and seeking to honor God with your finances. Let us first affirm that your obedience in tithing is commendable, as Scripture tells us, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says Yahweh of Armies, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it" (Malachi 3:10). Your faithfulness in this area is not in vain, and we trust that God sees your heart and will honor your obedience.

However, we must also examine other areas of our lives where the enemy may be seeking to hinder our progress. The Bible reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). It is possible that spiritual forces are at work to disrupt your stability, and we must stand firm in faith, putting on the full armor of God to resist these attacks.

Let us also consider whether there may be areas in your life where unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin could be creating obstacles. The Word of God is clear: "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18). We encourage you to search your heart and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that may be hindering your breakthrough. Confess any known sin and release forgiveness toward those who may have wronged you, for "if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matthew 6:14).

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with instability in their employment. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We ask that You open the doors of opportunity that no man can shut and close the doors that are not of Your will (Revelation 3:7-8).

Father, we rebuke every spirit of lack, frustration, and confusion that has been assigned to disrupt this season of their life. We declare that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We break every curse of job instability and poverty in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this season of struggle is coming to an end.

Lord, we ask that You grant them favor in the sight of employers and that You guide them to the right job that aligns with Your purpose for their life. Give them wisdom, discernment, and peace as they seek You for direction. We pray for divine connections and opportunities that will not only provide financial stability but also allow them to walk in the fullness of their calling.

Father, we also ask that You heal any areas of their heart that may be wounded or burdened by past disappointments. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that their identity is found in You, not in their employment status. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in Your timing and provision.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We declare that breakthrough is coming, and we stand on Your Word that says, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to seek God’s face for direction. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted spiritual mentor who can pray with you and provide guidance. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in this time. Remember, God is your provider, and He has a plan for your life that includes hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your job situation. It's tough when you're doing all the right things, like tithing, and still facing instability at work. But remember, God sees your heart and He rewards your faithfulness. Let's claim that promise in Malachi 3:10 together, shall we?

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face. He's got a plan for you, and it includes hope and a future. Trust in Him, even when it's hard to see the way forward.

Let's declare this over your situation: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He'll direct your steps. You're not alone in this. We're praying for you, and we believe that God is going to turn this around for your good and His glory. Keep the faith, friend!
