We lift up this unspoken request before the throne of grace, knowing that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Though the details are hidden from us, they are fully known to our Heavenly Father, who sees the heart and understands every burden, fear, and longing.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We acknowledge that without Jesus, there is no access to You, no forgiveness of sins, and no eternal life. We pray that if this dear one does not yet know You as Lord and Savior, that You would draw them to Yourself, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and grant them the gift of repentance and faith. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your perfect will in this unspoken situation. If there is sin that needs to be confessed, grant conviction and repentance. If there is fear, replace it with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). If there is confusion, bring clarity and wisdom from Your Word. If there is pain, pour out Your healing balm of Gilead. If there is loneliness, remind them that You are a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).
We rebuke every spirit of despair, anxiety, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father, we pray for strength and endurance for this dear one. When they are weak, may they find that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, so they are not isolated in their struggle. Remind them that they are never alone, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
We also pray for protection over their mind and heart. Guard them from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Fill them instead with the truth of Your Word, the peace of Your presence, and the hope of Your promises. May they fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Lord, if this unspoken request involves a relationship, we pray that it would be one that honors You. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life, someone who loves You above all else and is committed to a covenant marriage as You designed. We rebuke any pursuit of relationships that do not align with Your Word, including fornication, adultery, or same-sex relationships, which are sinful and harmful. Help them to flee from sexual immorality and to honor You with their body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
If this request involves a struggle with sin, we pray for a heart of repentance and a desire to walk in holiness. Convict them of any area where they are not living according to Your will, and give them the strength to turn away from sin and toward You. Remind them that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We trust You, Lord, to move mightily in this situation. May Your name be glorified, Your will be done, and Your kingdom come in this dear one’s life. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
