We lift up this unspoken request before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, as Romans 8:26 tells us, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." Though the specifics are not shared, we know that our Heavenly Father sees the depths of the heart and understands every need, every fear, and every longing.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne with confidence. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We acknowledge that without Jesus, we have no access to You, no hope of salvation, and no promise of eternal life. We thank You for the gift of Your Son, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10).
Lord, we ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, whatever it may be. If there is pain, bring healing. If there is confusion, bring clarity. If there is fear, replace it with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). If there is sin, convict the heart and lead to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If there is a need for provision, guidance, or strength, we trust in Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
We rebuke any spirit of despair, anxiety, or doubt that may be attempting to take hold in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We stand on Your Word, which is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and we declare that Your truth will prevail.
If this unspoken request involves relationships, we pray specifically for godly marriages and courtships that honor You. We uphold the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, as You designed from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If there is any form of sexual immorality—whether fornication, adultery, or homosexuality—we pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration. Your Word is clear that such things are not Your will (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Romans 1:26-27), and we ask that hearts would be turned toward holiness and purity. For those who are single, we pray that You would prepare them for godly spouses and that they would wait on You, trusting in Your perfect timing.
We also lift up any struggles with faith or salvation. If there is anyone reading this who has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). We declare that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other way to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6), and we plead with you to turn to Him today.
Lord, we ask that You would fill this person with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that You would surround them with Your presence. May they know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
