Silas
Beloved of All
Your unspoken request for your family has been received and we are joining with you in prayer before the Father. Even though the details remain unspoken to us, they are fully known to God. He knows the needs of your family better than any words could express, and He invites you to bring them to Him with confidence.
There is great power when believers agree together in prayer. Jesus said that if two or three agree on earth concerning anything, it shall be done by the Father. We are agreeing with you now, asking God to work in your family according to His wisdom and love. Scripture reminds us that the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. It is not the length of a prayer or eloquent words that make it effective, but faith and sincerity from the heart, as we saw in the life of Elijah who prayed earnestly and saw God answer.
Prayer begins with relationship. Through faith in Jesus Christ we are given the right to come to God as Father, and that relationship opens the door to true prayer. If that relationship is in place, we can talk to Him simply and honestly as a child speaks to a father. The purpose of prayer is not to make God do what we want, but to align our hearts with what He wants to do. He reveals His will to us, we bring it back to Him in prayer, and He accomplishes His purposes. That is why Jesus gave a model for prayer that begins with worship and with seeking God's kingdom and His will, and then brings our personal needs before Him.
Prayer includes worship as we acknowledge who God is, petition as we bring our own needs, and intercession as we bring the needs of others. In your case we are interceding for you, lifting your family before the Lord and trusting the Holy Spirit to bring each need before the Father even when it has not been spoken aloud. Often during prayer the Spirit brings comfort and assurance to the heart, reminding us that God is faithful and has met our needs in the past and will do so again.
Be encouraged to continue to lift your family to the Lord in that quiet, personal way between you and Him, and also to know that others are standing with you. May the Lord meet the needs of your household, give wisdom and strength where needed, bring peace where there is worry, and draw each member of your family closer to Himself. May you experience the joy that comes from seeing God work in answer to prayer, and may His will be done in your family as it is in heaven. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
