Unspoken prayer

Your unspoken request for your family has been heard and we are lifting you and your loved ones before the Father in the name of Jesus. Though the details remain unspoken to us, they are fully known to God. He knows the needs, the burdens and the hopes you carry for your family, and He invites you to come to Him as Father through faith in His Son.

We believe that prayer is powerful because God is the one who works through it. Scripture says the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. That righteousness is not our own goodness but what we receive through Jesus Christ. When we come on that basis, God hears. He has also promised that when two or three agree on earth concerning anything according to His will, He hears and answers. We are agreeing with you now for your family, asking God to meet each need according to His wisdom and love.

Jesus gave us a pattern for prayer that helps us pray rightly. It begins with relationship, knowing God as Father. It continues with worship, honoring His name and greatness as the Creator of heaven and earth. Then it seeks His kingdom and His will first, before we bring our own petitions. The purpose of prayer is not to make God do what we want, but to open our hearts to what He wants to do and to give Him our consent to work His will in our lives and in the lives of those we love. True prayer begins in the heart of God as He places His desires within us, and we then offer those desires back to Him. Within that pattern there is room for every need, for worship, for asking for our daily needs, and for intercession where we bring the needs of others before Him.

You do not need many words or a long prayer for God to hear you. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often short. What matters is not length or eloquence but faith and earnestness from the heart. Even when your prayer is unspoken or without words, the Holy Spirit helps us and intercedes, and God understands. He is not waiting to be informed as if He did not know, but He waits for us to invite Him to work.

We are joining our faith with yours and asking the Father to surround your family with His presence, to give wisdom, strength, comfort and provision as He sees best, to draw each member closer to Himself, and to work all things for His glory and your good. More is accomplished through prayer than we will ever see on this side of heaven, and there is real joy in spending time with the Father and watching Him answer.

May the Lord assure your heart of His faithfulness as you have seen it in the past, and give you peace as you trust Him with these unspoken needs. We will continue to hold you and your family up before Him.
